Any experts here? I think we have decided to stay here. If I rent from an owner, does anyone know if cleaning is included daily? Waterpark entry? The place looks fabulous and a little more resort (ish) than most of the villa rentals. Any and all advice is appreciated. :thumbsup2

you have made a fabulous choice!

If you are renting direct from the owner, check with them what is and is not included in the rate you have been quoted, they will be very happy to clarify for you.

Hope this helps

Good choice on the resort. It gets nothing but great reviews and I have toured the property however I've never stayed there. I have stayed at one of Ginns other properties, the Hammock Beach resort, just south of Saint Augustine. I've stayed at many 4 and 5* resorts, and not many compare with it. One other thing, Reunion is very Resort"ish", in fact it will probably have more of a resort feel then many of the onsite properties.

As for renting from the owner, research what you're getting. Many people, even owners, have posted stating the Ginn makes it difficult to rent the units without using there program. All Ginn resorts, for example, operate as a cashless society. In other words, all purchases must be made with your room key, NO CASH. There have been varying reports that if you rent from the owner, the owner will have to keep track of what you spent, and bill you. This could be more hassel than it's worth. Also to the best of my knowledge, and this only affects large families, if you rent from an owner only 4 per villa can use the waterpark free, the rest pay $10/day. That restriction doesn't apply when renting through Ginn.

It may be worth it to check around, perhaps even call Ginn direct. Pricing varies and some great deals can often be found on direct rentals if you look hard enough.

We are staying there in November. Although we've never been before, from everything I've read and seen it looks great.

This is good advice. I have been scouring the internet and have found a few that are just about 1/2 compared to renting directly thru the resort. I am getting really excited. Nothing but rave reviews. I love the high end furnishings and the fact that there are restaurants, waterpark and a spa on site. The last time we rented a villa, I was disappointed in the lack of amenities onsite. This seems to be the best of both worlds. Wish me luck in my search!

We are renting from a private British owner next Feb.

I think that all private renters will have different terms & conditions as to what is included in their price...the waterpark entry was not free for ours, we are paying $50 for a guest pass for the week (covers 4 people).

The villa we have booked looks fabulous, and has its own pool too - we can't wait.

They are listed on VRBO - but if you do a Google on "Victoriana Reunion Resort" - you should find its own website which has loads of better pictures. They also own another, cheaper, but equally nice, townhouse there (without a pool) called 'Grande 'Vista'

I was lucky to rent it as they were going to sell next year, fortunately they changed their minds.:goodvibes

If anyone contacts them, would you please mention that Judy from the UK recommended them :flower3:

Hope you are as impressed as I am. :yay:

Actually , I've just realised their own website can be found at the address;
" Reunion-villas.com "
