How do you display your gingerbread house after Christmas? I mean I know to spray it with something to seal it. I'm just wondering where you put it so you can see it all year? DD does not want to throw it away.

Put it away with the decorations for next year? Even sprayed, you'll need to pack it well - we "lost" some dough ornaments in our old house to little teeth, and they were sealed with varnish!

I say trash it and make a new one next year. We kept one for a year and when I got it out again the royal icing holding it together had started to disintegrate and things were falling off all over. They aren't really meant to last anyway...

Hard to save. Invitation for little mice visitors. Or bugs.

Half the fun is making a new one too. Take some nice photos.
