Gilligan's Island - matchmaking

I'm sure when you used to watch Gilligan's Island, that you wanted certain of the members to become couples. So who did you want to get together?
I always wanted Gilligan and Mary Anne to get hitched. I thought they were great together. I also thought that the Prof. and Ginger might be good together. And I remember thinking that the Skipper could have married them all, him being a captain and all.
Anybody else uset to think of that when you watched GI?

My first choice was always me and Ginger. My second would be Mary Ann and Ginger. Beyond those posibilities, I wasn't all that interested in seeing any of the cast couple-up.

I always imagined the Professor and Mary Ann together. I thought the Skipper and Ginger would work like a teddy bear and a sex kitten. I felt sort of bad for Gilligan being left out in the cold, but he always seemed sort of asexual to me.

I think Dawn Wells (Mary Ann) came out as a lesbian several years ago. I was making a joke...

I really did give this some thought as a kid.

Professor and Mary Ann
Ginger would go back to Hollywood and become a superstar.
Gilligan would become the Admiral of the US Navy.
Skipper would become Gilligan's right hand man.
The Howells would just keep getting richer they were old(probably a few years older than I am today )
I kind of thought that Lovey and the Skipper should hook up but I couldn't figure that out because she was married.

I do seem to remember the Skipper occasionally showing some mild interest in Ginger, at least through his facial expressions...

I have some friends who have 7 grandchildren - they all call her Lovey, and now I do, too!!!

I always thought the Professor and Mary Ann would get together eventually. I never imagined Gilligan having a relationship with any of the girls, especially after the "surfer" episode where the girls had to pretend to like Gilligan so Duke would leave. Just thinking of GI makes me !
