You could almost hear the challenge in Mickey’s voice on the wakeup call, but we woke up ready to meet it. We caught the first bus to Magic Kingdom and took the monorail over to the Polynesian for breakfast at the Kona Café – Tonga Toast!! We’d heard about it, but never tried it. It was incredibly good and a great way to start our mega-day! (Even though it’s hard, Jan is still bravely trying new things to eat!) We caught a bus from the Polynesian to Disney-MGM where we rode the Great Movie Ride and saw the Sounds Dangerous show, which was a lot of fun. We left the Studios and took a bus over to Magic Kingdom for 11:30 lunch at Crystal Palace (Jan got the greatest picture taken with Piglet!) which was delightful. That was all we needed to do at Magic Kingdom, so we hopped back to Disney-MGM Studios for the 1:15 Indiana Jones Stunt Show and the 2:30 Stars & Motorcars parade. We got a great curbside seat for the parade and had fun with Rosie the Cleaning Lady while we were waiting for it to start. The parade was a lot of fun & the car designs were very clever.

After the parade, we bid farewell to Disney-MGM studios and headed over to Animal Kingdom to see the Jammin’ Jungle parade (the one we didn’t see on Monday because we were IN IT!). We found a great place to watch strategically placed near the entrance to DinoLand and while we were waiting for the parade to start, I ran over to Dinosaur and got us Fastpasses so we could take another trip back in time after the parade. (Side note – I wish I had WDW energy all year long!) We really loved this parade – the puppets and costumes and music and everything all worked together to make it really memorable. Jan & I were disappointed to see some of the people chosen for this parade looking bored as they passed us. We commended each other on a job well done being honorary cast members on Monday.

Then we went and used our Dinosaur Fastpasses and that went so quickly, we were able to see Tough to be a Bug one more time. Man, I just love that show. Then we left there and caught the bus to Epcot. I need to interject here that earlier, Jan had a brilliant idea for a series of pictures – we had someone take our picture outside each park (Disney-MGM twice) before we went in, holding up one finger for our first park, two for our second, etc…and with increasing looks of exhaustion. Our Epcot picture shows us slumping on a bench holding up five fingers and looking dead tired. But the funny thing is that we weren’t tired – we were still really pumped. (Must have been the hot tub!) We went to Wonders of Life and did Cranium Command and Body Wars, then had dinner at the Electric Umbrella (I got to watch my fountain twice!). On the way out, we stopped to do Spaceship Earth again and then headed out. But was our day over? Nope, not yet.

We caught the monorail to the TTC and transferred to the resort monorail to the Polynesian, where we planned to watch the Electrical Water Pageant. We were still early, so we had pina coladas in the lounge, relaxing and listening to the singer. Then we headed down to the beach to see the Water Pageant. We enjoyed watching the ducks on the water and the blue heron who strolled majestically by as though we were there just to see him. And it turned out we must have been there to see him, because the Water Pageant never happened…we waited around a while, but nothing. So we caught the next bus to the Marketplace where Jan paid for the wayward earrings so she could wear them with a clean conscience. I longed to go see if I could do any more Patriotic duty in the Christmas shop, but figured I’d probably already done enough damage to my aching bank account, so we headed back home.

We did it – CSR to Polynesian to Studios to Magic Kingdom to Studios to Animal Kingdom to Epcot to Polynesian to Marketplace to CSR all in one day. Feeling rather proud that our plans had worked out so well, we drifted pretty easily off to sleep.

Tomorrow: Only three parks in one day – piece of cake!

Better get rested up for tomorrow. :)
