Jan got up early to go do a load of laundry and I got to catch some extra sleep. (Thanks, Jan!) We went for a late (but still delicious) breakfast at Pepper Market and then took off for Downtown Disney Marketplace. Heres where we decided to heed President Bushs advice he asked the American people to get out there and spend money to help the economy. So thats all we were doing our Patriotic duty! Right? We did our Patriotic duty at Days of Christmas, Disney at Home, Team Mickeys, Pooh Corner and the Lego store but we could have earned a medal for the good we did our countrys economy at World of Disney. I am poised at the mailbox to intercept the Amex bill before Jack has a chance to see it! (giggle) We sent almost all of these purchases to our resort. What a luxury!
Presents bought for all our friends & family (and a little Christmas shopping thrown into the bargain), we went to Fultons Crab House for a late lunch, which we enjoyed immensely. We used the Disney Club card to get a pair of free wine glasses and at the end of the meal, our waiter presented them to us with a bizarrely Transvylanian accent (Heeere are your vine glasses ) but we managed to get out of there before he attempted to drink our blood or anything. I had brought along a Visa gift card I had gotten as an award at work and was determined to get something nice for myself before I left. So on the way out, I stopped at The Art of Disney and got myself two posters and a beautiful Jiminy Cricket figurine. Jan bought me a present there a gorgeous framed Jiminy Cricket model sheet. (I like Jiminy.) We had all these purchases sent home.
We returned home full from lunch and tired from shopping, so we changed into our swimsuits and hit the hot tub, intending to alternate between the hot tub and the regular pool. But the hot tub was so wonderful and it was getting pretty chilly outside so we never made it to the regular pool. We tried but even a couple minutes with our feet in the regular pool sent us rushing back to the hot tub. It was really relaxing and rejuvenating. We returned to the room, watched a little TV and took stock of what we had seen vs. what we hadnt seen so we could plan our last couple of days.
We emptied the few bags we had brought home from the Marketplace and separated our goodies. In the process, we discovered a pair of earrings that Jan had put in her basket at World of Disney that somehow fallen into one of our shopping bags. We checked the World of Disney receipt and confirmed that they had not been paid for Jan was horrified. Of course, we made plans to rectify the situation, but took the opportunity to realize that made us both criminals me taking the shameful pictures in One Mans Dream and now the earrings of shame! So we took a picture of the earrings and dubbed them Another Mans Crime. Yes, there was giggling.
In addition to having to fix the earring thing, we had several things we still wanted to see in the parks over the next two days. I started plotting & planning how to make the best use of the time we had left. I guess it was the fact that wed been re-energized from the hot tub that made us come up with the kamikaze plan for Friday. Maybe I just wanted to see if we could do it. I wrote it all out so we would be able to keep it straight and we went off to bed, relaxed and rested from a day (mostly) off. Tomorrow: All four parks and more??? Can we do it?
