So my parents 25th anniversary is next year. We want to gift them a week at the AKV and go with them as well. So we will be getting to savannah view studios. First, will we be able to request them to be together, and next how exactly do we go about gifting points? We've never bought/sold points before. :confused3 Also, since they are not DVC members and we are can we add on a dining plan for them as well as for us? ( Since they won't have a room/ticket package?) TIA.

Based on what you posted, you just need to make a reservation for two savanna view studios. Tell MS that your parents will be staying in one and you will be staying in the other. Ask MS to put a note on each that you would like the studios to be as close together as possible. That's just a request, so it may or may not work out, but I'm sure the resort will try.

You can add the dining plan to both, just one or neither. The plans must be paid for at check in - if you are paying, you might want to make sure you check in together so you can "fight" for right to pay if necessary, LOL.

You are not gifting points. You are making a reservation for them. You can call Member Services and make 2 reservations, one in your name and one in theirs, and request that the 2 rooms be close to each other (it is only a request, not guaranteed). You can add the dining plan to their reservation and to yours.

As you can tell from my signature, I am glad that we treated my mom and dad to WDW. Dad died in 2006 and Mom now has dementia. It is hard to overstate how grateful I am to have my memories. Treasure yours!
