I am at a loss for DD10, I feel we are at the age that gifts depend on who we are playing with this week. Older neighbor girls, then clothing and makeup (no makeup), other neighbor girl, younger toys.

They love to play school, store...you get the idea. Anything I am missing I could get? We have the store and school basics, the rainbow loom...

Any ideas would be great! Outside the box or not.

I would go with arts and crafts and books for the most part. When I was about that age I received fashion plates, which are hard to describe;) but you would choose 3 different "plates", you would rub them with the enclosed pencils and then finish the design. I loved those things, and they still sell a form of them. Spirograph is back, another excellent choice! What about some "grown-up" art supplies? My older kids will be getting a nicer sketch book and colored pencils(these are still crayola, but I got 36 on clearance, but you could get fancier brand). The nerf Rebelle items should still excite your dd. I am getting my dd9 the Harry Potter boxed set this year, time to get her hooked:).

Lush has a deal right now--spend 100, get a 10 card. My kids love the bath bombs

My dd9 is into music (wants an iPod), arts/crafts, duct tape, jewelry, etc. The big thing now is making bracelets with a loom and rubber bands. She is completely finished with toys/playing.

Thanks everyone. And thank you for the link to the already started thread. I thought there had to be one out there but missed it. I have Friday off and will be going out to see what I can find. My old standby of Lego got an eye roll.

I was also going to suggest smash book or wreck this journal. I am getting my dd9 a smash book and some supplies, wreck this journal looks really cool and people have said their Tweens/teens love it!

My DD had a lot of fun with harumika one year.. would she like that? How about a nice art set? We got DS some canvases and real acrylics and brushes one year that he liked. Sculpey clay so they can make things for their store? Duct tape is a hit with a lot of kids.

Mine is 14 and is all about the shoes.. TOMS, Vans, Sperry's.. I'm not exactly sure how many she thinks she needs but they do have some really cute styles, and she is no longer growing out of them every six months.

DS wants a Northface jacket. It's more than I would normally spend on a coat so that will be a Christmas gift too.

I am having the same problem here! DD 10 has very little on her list while her 8 year old sister has a list that goes on for days. She wants Webkinz, Monster High Dolls, a ripstick and zelfs greenhouse and something similar to sea monkeys we saw at toys r us. But no big ticket items.
