I know there was a thread recently about this but I can't find it now! My dd just gave me her list and I am ready to go into cardiac arrest!! Here's a sample of what she wants: A PSP, laptop, Nintento DS, a lie detector (?!?!), an Amazing Amanda doll, a Doodle Bear with a glow in the dark pen, and last but not least a cell phone.
Now I can handle the Doodle Bear but I almost passed out when I saw the cost of the Amazing Amanda doll once I googled it. I was planning on buying her an IQuest handheld (with cartidges for Science & Social Studies), the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory PS2 game, Sky High DVD, A Lava lamp and a few more small non-expensive items.
Will she be disapointed if I only get her one specific item from her list? She's at this age where it's so hard to buy for her. I guess I'm just looking for other ideas of things that could please her since I can't afford the PSP, Laptop, etc. And I just don't think she is mature enough for a cell phone. Maybe in another year or two when she is involved in more extra-curricular activities with school.
