gift idea help needed

Our son will soon marry a lovely young lady with a six year old son. My husband and I want to welcome this young man into our family with a special gift. Any ideas?

having a photo of you your hubby and him all by yourselves.....one for him and one for you........but a present for a six year old ......how about a little guys watch......not one that makes alot of noises...(they tend to get in trouble at school with those).....but one special for him...

How about a special trip just the three of you. It will give you a special bond, and the newlyweds a special break!

I always recommend a little boy to go to a baseball game. It is particularly a fondness of mine, but something little boys usually like. Is there a A, AA, AAA, or major league team in your area?


I married my DH when my son was 18 months and his parents have always been equally important in his life, even after his brother and sister came along.

I think I should take me to DW. This "old gal" might not be able to keep up with him. I could go there and bring him back a surprise. Gee, that sound's awfully selfish of me. Ah, well
Maybe we can have a group picture taken at the wedding and have it put into a nice frame with an engraved message. Now, what message????

I think the frame is a good idea, but maybe something in addition geared more to a six year old. Find out what he likes, what hes into. Even something small, to show that you took the time out to find out what makes him happy. Then he would have something fun to play with, and something sentimental to show that you care about him.

I love the picture idea...I also love the sentiment that you're trying to think of something special that will make him feel a part of your family! He's a lucky little boy!

Since he is only 6, I'd also pick out a toy or a game (doesn't have to be anything elaborate or expensive)....six year olds are really into toys!
