Youngest DD only asked for cash and a digital camera this year for Christmas. I have squirled away amex gift cards all year and she will get a sizeable amount in a cute little coach wallet as will her older sister. I got the camera and also a digital photo fram for her and some VS Pink capri sweats for both she and her sister. The oldest has a birthday in Dec and will get extra amex gift cards for that and a kindle. I also have another ipod for her, she has had them before but they broke. I also have a digital camera for her and a digital photo frame as well. As the kindle is a pricey item I just want to give her that and the gift cards for her birthday and save the ipod for Christmas but then I need to come up with another similar in quality and price gift for the youngest to keep it fair. Any ideas? She has a phone, netbook, tv, ipod etc. she just started Jr High and is now into makeup and clothes but the gift cards will more then cover that and she would prefer to pick it out herself. An Ipad is definetly out for any of us because my kids flat out told me not to buy me one as I have sight problems and get all these gadgets thinking I can use them then it doesn't work out. I could also get her a kindle as well? I have one of my own and she hasn't shown interest in it. Is there something out there I am not thinking of? She is a young 12 still a tad immature but past silly bands, justice clothes and things like that. I am racking my brain here for a hundred to 150 dollar gift. it is the last thing on my list other then my friends son and some xbox 360 games that are on pre order for my son. The gift cards are a win win for me as the girls will use them on makeup and clothes which I would have to buy anyhow and they can get what they like snd feel cool with a credit card. She does like some weird habbo game so I could get her 100 buvks worth of habbo cards but that seems sort of odd compared to the gifts her sister is getting. Any ideas? They have chi irons, don't like vera bradly bags and we live in Southern Ca where the trends are real different then those of you back east. Thanks if you can help.

Hmmm. .. would she like a big Ipod GC? My kids would like that. How about an upgraded cell phone? You said she wanted a digital camera. . .how about some extra memory to go with it? I know my oldest has been wanting one of those Flip type video camera things. Is she into photography? Maybe you could sign her up for a class through the parks dept or something. We're on the West coast too. . .and you can't go wrong with a salon GC. . .mani's and pedi's never go out of fashion here. .. And seeing as this is the Dis. . . and you live in south Cali. . .are you close enough to make an annual pass to Disneyland worthwhile? :confused3

Nevermind, talked abou et it to my best friend that has been helping me get the amex and other gift cards and gifts all year long and she told me to ssve the Ipod for my oldests graduation next year and that my kids are getting more then enough. I just need a voice or reason to see the solution!!

I did get both girls extra memory cards for stocking stuffers. I think 2 a piece as my oldest likes to save them and not erase pics off them.

Don't even get me started on the annual pass thing. With the jacked up price on the lowest passes we got ticked off and wont buy them for basically only the second time in 17 years. The other was when you had to get one pass for California Aventure and one for Disneyland. Other then that we have had them for 17 years. The so cal passes worked great for us as my husband gets alot of weekdays off and I can't handle crowds anyhow and my girls have half days on Tuesdays that we could turn it into a nice day. But laying out 1200 bucks for our family when we have been so often ticked us off this time. And I am not doing a flipping payment plan to go to a theme park even disney. I will probably hit withdrawels at some point I am sure and get them again but right now we are ticked off LOL.

LOL! It's ok. . .we've all been there! Glad that you could figure out something that worked for you though. :)
