Does anyone have experience with any of the online gift card resellers? I would like to sell 2 Brookstone gift cards. I saw that ABC Gift Cards will give me a bit more as an Amazon gift card, but they ask for all the numbers up front. It makes me nervous, because once someone has the numbers they can use them and you are not protected like you are with a credit card. Any thoughts or experiences?

i have not sold giftcards online but i would recommend this, online they are usually useless without a pin code. if you have both i would not give them the pin code for any reason. most likely they want the giftcard numbers upfront to ensure they have funds on them so you can't send them in and claim they used them. i would just go with a site you trust, even if its a few $$ less. giftcards are like cash, very hard to trace, so a transaction like this does require a lot of trust.

http://www.cardpool.com is a site that I would recommend. While I have not sold any cards to them, I have bought dozens and have had excellent customer service (I had a couple of cards that wouldn't work and cardpool promptly refunded their purchase price).

I have bought from them too...no issues. Never sold though.

I have bought and sold at www.plasticjungle.com

Went super easily both ways. They have been established for several years and have an excellent reputation.

I agree with the pp who said "go with who you trust, even if you get a few bucks less."

I have also sold cards to Cardpool. The whole process was quick and easy. I received my check about a week after I sent in the cards. They take a good sized chunk of money out. I think I got $17.50 for each $25 card that I sold, but the cards had been unused for almost two years and I probably wasn't going to use them otherwise.

Also, cardpool will give you a quote without having to input all the card information.

I've sold here, never an issue. Last time it redirected me to some place else saying they had bought them out or something along those lines. I had 2 $100 gift cards so I was leery but did it and all was fine. They called and asked me a few questions. I do believe I had to give all #'s to them up front including the pin. How else would they check it?
