Ghosts, and Villians, and Disney, Oh My! An October PTR- Link to TR

Hey there Ashley!
What a wonderful day you guys had; and to have special treatment to start the day, what a way to start :yay:
great pictures of the day, the shot of Noah (from the back ) and stitch reminded me of Ashton.
you guys had a great day of character interaction and I love the face painting!
hope you had a great weekend!
:wave2: Connie
BTW: Dayne's car is now running so hoepfully only one more Tuesday to use my car; when I have my car back I will be sure to get with you to see when we can meet up! I know the boys are going to have a ball

Great update, love all the pictures! :cool1: The parade looks like fun, I've never seen it! I always end up missing the day parades for some reason! :rotfl:

So here are the questions, bet you knew that was coming. 1900 Park Fare or Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner? Is LTT worth giving up 1900 PF dinner? Or do you possibly think 1900 PF is worth missing MSEP for? I did book a 1900 PF breakfast on the 21st and I also still have 'Ohana booked that same morning. What about that, 1900 PF or 'Ohana for breakfast?

I know that I am just joining in, but I thought I would give my two cents worth. I would go with Ohana breakfast over 1900 Park Fare. We have done them both and I really enjoyed Ohana much more than 1900 plus I thought the food was better as well.

Your kiddos are super cute. Can't wait to hear about the rest of your spring trip. It doesn't look like our park days match up in October. We are doing MK (16th), AK(17th), Epcot (18th). Maybe if you guys make it to MSEP on the 16th we can meet that is the only time we would overlap unless plans change.

Best earth day ever!:goodvibes
Can you tell we were on a mission with the characters?:lmao: I really should count all that we saw. I enjoyed it as much as the kids!
How sweet that the stitch picture reminded you of Ashton!
Weekend was good here, hope yours was the same.

Yay for Dayne's car being fixed. Can't wait for the boys to meet!

That was our first time we saw the parade there. The kids loved the characters and us adults were in awe over the animals. The only way we seem to make it to the parade is if we remind ourselves hourly!:rotfl2:

Welcome over! Thanks for your thoughts. I am really leaning towards Ohana. If we make the parade on the 16th then it is a definite. Alot of my plans seem to revolve around being able to see MSEP that night. Would be nice to meet you, Memom, and the girls that evening as well.:goodvibes

Hey Ashley! I just stopped by to check out your schedule. If you end up going to MK on the 19th my DD3 and I will be there. On the 20th our whole family will be there because of MSEP and Wishes that evening. I'm looking forward to hearing what you decide to do!

I will have to catch up on the rest of your report tomorrow. From what I have seen so far you have a beautiful family!

Just came back over from reading your entire tr from last year. Wow, opening the park on your first day there. I can't imagine anything more magical than that! It was nice to see that the parks weren't bad last year, hoping for the same this year for both of us. Oh, and I am so glad I bought some jackets for us. Here in Louisiana October is usually warm, but there can be some cool days as well. Definitely will have to pack for the weather to go either way there.

As far as the 19th vs. 20th on MK I probably won't know until week that we leave:eek:, so right now I just have 2 plans for those two days. Either way I hope we will cross paths.:goodvibes

Hi, Ashley. Just found your PTR, so I have to go back and read it all now! Your family is adorable, and I am looking forward to hearing all about your trip. You have been really prolific with the PTR in just a month, though - it's going to take me a while! :surfweb:

I have started picking out the outfits that I would like the kids to wear. I have bought a couple of shirts for them and also plan on making iron-ons with the help of the DISign thread. Will post that soon!

Love everything you bought for your trip! I gotta get one of those glow wands with the star on top, I love them so much! And where did you get Halloween Disney pj's? Too cute! :cool1:

I would definitely bring those jackets! I really didn't expect to wear the jeans and sweatshirts that we had worn when we left from up north. We sure needed them the first two days.

I hope everything works out the way you want it to with your MK days. I will just have to follow along to see what you decide.:)

Ooooh goodies!

One of my many favorite things about going to Disney!

Thanks, the glow wands with the star is from the dollar tree. I am addicted to buying those things! Got the kids pj's from disney store online. I can't wait to see the kids in them!:goodvibes

I am really glad I got those jackets and they were on sale!:woohoo: When we went in february it was so cold and we had only brought light jackets. I ended up having to buy gloves and hats. Funny thing is the parks didn't have too much to choose from and our trip to Walmart only netted us some work gloves. The workers acted like they had no clue what gloves were.:confused3 It was below freezing outside! I now know you can't plan for the weather in WDW!

I will be sure to let you know about which day we will be in MK. I really am hoping for the 19th because crowds should be lighter that day, but I really want the kids to see MSEP! Hope we can make it to MK on the 16th to see it.

Oooo! goodies and bathing suits and jackets :rotfl: --I sure was happy I brought Ashton a pair of jeans, socks, and long sleeve hoodie. you have the rash guard...Ashton has the swim suit (this will be the first summer I have a suit and not the matching rash guard--my mom bought the swimsuit and when I went back for the rg they were out in his size or one larger...ugh!)...I brought one of the glo swords and forgot to give it to him

Chloe's swimsuit and cover is really cute! and I love the pj's...

We don't usually do rash guards for him, but thought if it was a bit cool out it would help. The rg sure looks tiny compared to the shorts! I hope it will fit him. How funny that Ashton has the same trunks! You sound like me with the glow in the dark stuff- some pictured were for the april trip.:rotfl2:

Thanks, I hope she likes it. I think I am way more into Tink than she is, but that is what they had left. So, that is what she is getting!:goodvibes

Ashton had vascular surgery in June '09 and I keep a rashguard on him so that the 4" scar sees no sun. I am trying to train him not to skimp on the sunscreen, wear sunglasses, and cover up in the sun. Did not do that with Dayne and I can see in about 10 yrs he is going to look like leather at the rate he is going. It is so funny when we went to the beach this past year I had taken the rg off when he sun had gone down a bit and he screamed he needed clothes he was naked! :rotfl2: Danny looks at me and says what did you do to my child he is a boy he should be able to go without a shirt.

I agree, the kids get slathered with sunscreen and we avoid the mid-day sun. Of course, in this hot summer they hardly go outside at all!

When kids are use to things being a certain way, they don't want it to change. Even if it means taking off his shirt!:lmao: Noah probably won't want to wear the rg, but I think if there is cooler temps it might change his mind.

Sorry to hear that Ashton had to have vascular surgery last year. I hope all is going well!:goodvibes

Well, last night dh and I were playing around on touringplans and noticed that the crowd calendar for some of our days had changed!:scared1: The one that was causing me the most concern was our DHS day. The 18th is not only a fantasmic night, but also late emh's. Fantasmic is probably Noah's favorite show and it is only offered twice while we are there (of course, the other day it is showing is our MNSSHP day). So, what to do? Get the kids park hoppers!!! Chris and I will already have upgraded to AP's (therefore, can park hop), so we just would need to upgrade the kids to hoppers.

With the idea of just upgrading to the hoppers, now we have to shuffle around our days a bit (and our ADR's). Plus, the hoppers are going to help out to see MSEP. So, here is the new plan. (yes, I know this is the new new plan:rotfl:)

15th- drive to Crestview or Marianna and stay the night.
16th- get to WDW by 3pm, check into Pop Century. Probably will head to DTD and eat at EoS.
17th- switch over to POR and head to Epcot for the day.
18th- AK til around 4ish, then to DHS for Fantasmic
19th- MK
20th- DHS til 5ish, then to MK for MSEP and Wishes.
21st- MK, take break, then back for MNSSHP

22nd and 23rd are US/IOA days, still staying at RPR.

Now these are our Adr's:

17th- have 2 that I need to pick between, Garden Grill at 5:15 or Tutto Italia at 6:20
19th- Crystal Palace for lunch at 11:35 and 'Ohana dinner at 6:30
20th- Sci Fi Dine-In at 11:15
21st- 'Ohana breakfast at 9:20
22nd- 1900 PF breakfast at 9:25 (this will probably get cancelled unless we decide to cancel one of the others)

Haven't ever been to Garden Grill or Tutto Italia. Has anyone been to either? Did you like it? Would love input (as always:goodvibes).

If you make it to Crestview, I'd suggest staying at the Jameson Inn there. It's nice and clean, easy on and off the interstate and reasonably priced. Oh, and they have a continental breakfast.

We've eaten at the Garden Grill several times and always enjoy it. The food is not the best I've ever eaten but the character interaction is fantastic! I'm not saying the food is horrible because it's definitely not.

:laughing:I was just posting on your thread!

Will look into Jameson Inn, we have stayed at the Country Inn and Suites there and that one was nice. I'll have to compare prices!:goodvibes

Yay, glad to hear you like GG. I am leaning that way because I know the kids would enjoy it more.:thumbsup2
