Ghosts, and Villians, and Disney, Oh My! An October PTR- Link to TR

Ashley,
I just sent you a PM but it appears that the AAA rates are the same as the Lowe's rates...should have read that part first....sorry

YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BELEIVE THIS: but, I just checked my email and I have a 30% pin code good through Nov. Go on their site and see if you can save a quote like you do with the disney site maybe you will get a code.

Good luck!

love the arrival day at CBR the beds are just adorable I bet the kids loved it!
:wave2:

PM'd you back. I too got the pin from universal, was happy until I saw that it was only sun.-thurs. That figures, they know they have me.

The kids loved those beds. I really liked the pirate rooms. I didn't take too many pictures in there, but disney once again paid amazing attention to detail.

Love the April TR so far! CBR looks so pretty, those pirate rooms are so cute! :) It's too bad it had to rain on your first day, that's no fun! :sad2:

Thanks! I only wish I hadn't resized those pictures so small. Ah, you live and you learn.

The pirate rooms were alot of fun. Even the refrigerator was in theme, looked like a barrel.

The rain wasn't the best, but mainly just drizzling, just wasn't pretty out at all.

For the three of us for 11 days with deluxe dining plan, six days of tickets, and a room at POR, it'll be somewhere around $5300. We're hoping for free dining, but we'll go either way. I love pricing out vacations. It's relaxing for me for some reason :confused3

Also, I love the pics of your kids "driving" the pirate beds! That's so cute! :)

Relaxing to price them out and scary as all get out to book!:lmao:

If that wheel would have turned I may not have gotten them out of the bed! Such a cool bed.

I'm so glad to see your pics of CBR since I'll be there for 1st time next month!

Hi Ashley! I finally made it over. You have a really cute family!

We will be going back Oct. 6-10 (luckily we get a fall break) and I can't wait to go to our first MNSSHP. Have you thought any more about costumes? I'm interested to see experience October crowd levels. We went in May with 7,8,9's and July with 8's & 9's. I might flip if the crowds are truly 3, 4,5. :goodvibes

I understand the Kindergarten issues with Chloe...Josie started almost four weeks ago and the adjustment was a little rough on her. She's getting used to it now but she is really tired when she gets home. We go 8:15-3:15 and they get a 20 minute rest. The first two weeks she came home and passed out. :lmao: She's not passing out anymore but she doesn't have any trouble going to sleep right away at 8:30. I hope it is getting better for Chloe as well. :goodvibes

I'm loving the April TR! The pirates room looks awesome! We stayed at CBR for the second time in June 2009 but we didn't get a pirates room. Still, CBR is my favorite mod resort! :goodvibes

You and your family will love it there. It really is a beautiful resort, even in the rain!

Thanks Leanne and so glad you made it over, you certainly have been a busy lady with all that volleyball:goodvibes.

It certainly does sound like a big crowd difference from your last two trips, I hope we can both be so lucky for it to be uncrowded. You'll have to give me a heads up on actual crowd levels. I guess schools here didn't get the memo on us disney people needing a fall break:laughing:, yay that your schools did!

Chloe is adjusting better. Today was the end of her 2nd week and it seems like she is getting into the swing of things. It helps to hear that other kids are as tired as Chloe. I worry way too much sometimes about the minor things.:confused3

I'm loving the April TR! The pirates room looks awesome! We stayed at CBR for the second time in June 2009 but we didn't get a pirates room. Still, CBR is my favorite mod resort! :goodvibes

Thanks!! We really loved CBR. I just am hoping I will feel as fond of POR after this trip.

Wanted to brag a little on Chloe! Today she informed me that she was able to pick a special prize for having good behavior all week. She picked a ring, but alas it did not make it home with her, as she let a friend borrow it for the weekend. Anyway, I was super proud of her. I just want her to like school and want to be there and it seems that she is getting there.

In other news tomorrow morning I am heading to New Orleans with one of my friends for a girls weekend! So excited to go and have a good time and get to shop at the disneystore. We will probably spend most of our time walking around, shopping, and eating, as neither one of us is a party animal:lmao: We definitely will have a few adult beverages though!

I have to get busy with the updates next week. I still have 8 days of the April trip to cover, and have a few things I have bought for the October trip that I want to share. And Noah's 4th birthday is next weekend. K, now I am being a chatty Cathy.

I do have a question for those of you who have ordered off etsy, well a couple of questions really. I am thinking of ordering a dress for Chloe from onetwothreeshop.com. Has anyone ordered from this shop and if so were you happy with the product? Here are the outfits I like:

What do you think about these? I would probably just do one of the halloween ones, but I do like the pink pillowcase dress alot. Sorry for the different sizes, I did resize them all the the same size. IDK, maybe they will correct themselves.

I have not ordered from there, but I have to say that pink pillowcase dress is ADORABLE!:cutie: Do you think I can get my 18 and 16 year old DDs to wear one!?!:rotfl:

Oh! those are so cute!!
I really like the first one and the last two! well I really like them all...makes me wish I had a little girl that was mine (I so want to order one for my little Chloe--I spend more on her than her mom pays me already  )... I have not ordered but I have several dis friends that order all the time (katie-bippityboo), (becky-ladybugmom;she makes the cutest hair bows), not sure which person they use.

Hope you have a great time in New Orleans/metairie and don't get too wet!!!

Oh my goodness - that first one is the same one I had for my girls on our October 2008 trip. If you check out the TR for Oct in my signature, you will see it in Day 6! My girls didn't want to wear the ribbon "belts", even though they looked super cute! Anyways, I'm guessing it's the same seller - even though I got it off ebay and not etsy - and they were great! The outfits were well made and much more affordable than a lot of other Disney customs. I got another set from her as well (now I'm trying to remember which one) and was very pleased with all her work! :thumbsup2 I really loved having some autumn themed ones for the October trip! So fun and they looked great with all of the wonderful fall colors in the MK!

Oh my word......I adore all of the outfits! They are so very cute! I have never bought anything from Etsy but my sister and nieces buy stuff on that site all the time.

I almost forgot.....tell Chloe congratulations for getting to pick a prize.

I've never ordered off of Etsy, but I really like the red dress! That's so cute!

I am going to get in trouble on that site!

They are that cute! But don't think your girls would like it without the matching bow and ruffle socks:rotfl2:!

They aren't too expensive, but enough that I would want her to be able to wear it more than once. I'm trying to justify one of the fall/halloween ones.

I love the dresses, but I don't know if she would wear it at Disney.

Girls are sooo easy to buy for. I am glad I have Noah and not two girls or I would go crazy. Since it is hard to find cute, boyish customs I usually don't go overboard with buying for Chloe.

I bet your Chloe's mom is happy to have you around:rotfl:!

New Orleans was fun, but did we ever get rained upon! I did find some buys at the disney store!

The girls look so cute in that outfit. Must be the same seller. So glad to hear that they were good quality. I think for a disney custom, it is a really decent price. Now to decide! I keep bouncing back and forth among all the fall/halloween ones. Just need to make up my mind already before it is too late! Atleast I have narrowed it down to 3.:confused3:laughing:

Those outfits are adorable, I really love the last 2 dresses! :lovestruc

I love the dresses and Chloe would prefer them to pants sets, but don't know how practical they are for in the parks.

Those outfits are adorable! The 2nd & 3rd picture are my favorites.

I think they may be the most practical. Can't find the 2nd one on the site anymore, so I guess I missed out on that one! Only thing with the 3rd is that it's sleeveless. They do show long tees under that style and it isn't horrible. October weather in disney could go either way.

I almost forgot.....tell Chloe congratulations for getting to pick a prize.

I am loving the Etsy site, especially the customs at decent prices.

Thank you, and Chloe says thanks too!

Working on an update for the April trip. My sinuses/allergies are going crazy from this horrible weather. Getting in bed early tonight! Hope everyone had a good weekend. New Orleans was wet and nasty, but we enjoyed ourselves non-the-less. I did make some purchases from the disney store for the trip. It was a small store, but I had no problem spending some money:laughing:!

It is VERY small! I know it well!

When did you come to New Orleans? I live 45 mins south of there!

Went this weekend. I live in Denham Springs, so it was just a quick trip with a friend. We need to have a meet up in New Orleans one day, there are so many of us disers who live close.

Oh yeah, it poured all weekend long!!!! We had flash floods & tornado warnings all weekend! And yes we do!!!!

I usually buy from online. I didn't know it was even open in Lakeside until a friend told me. The Mall of Louisiana one shut down last year right after Christmas, no real notice. Here one day and gone the next, or so it seemed to me anyway.
