We managed to buy a one-ring stove today for the grand price of £16, including 4 gas cylinders, so we're well happy!

Have now got a concept of what my boat will look like. Just need to research the best angles for the fastest hull and whether to introduce a keel or not!

All I need to do is deflate the palm tree in the garage so I can construct the vessel tomorrow night, and also get all of the camping gear up together.

I was thinking of getting Ian to construct some sort of plank across the river, and then they have some wicked Gladiator style foam beater sticks in Asda, so we could recreate Wolf and Lightening, but thought that might be taking it to far !!

Jules after my Dubrovnik "incident" methinks I should steer well clear of water and this sounds like the sort of thing I would definitely end up with an injury doing.

On the other hand we got home from work to find India's boat floating in the bath - so I must knuckle down and sort mine out - I have ordered the outboard motor and rudder just need to whittle down the tree trunk and I will be ready. No need for sails on my baby
