I think you'll fine my role is primarily supervisory.
As defending champion, I'll bring the cup.[/QUO
I have had a new sticky made for it Deb "GGG 2009" you may get to take it home again, are you confident?
Have now got a concept of what my boat will look like. Just need to research the best angles for the fastest hull and whether to introduce a keel or not!
All I need to do is deflate the palm tree in the garage so I can construct the vessel tomorrow night, and also get all of the camping gear up together.
I think the chances of me lifting the cup again are remote, to say the least!
We managed to buy a one-ring stove today for the grand price of £16, including 4 gas cylinders, so we're well happy!
Sounds like fighting talk to me. I am debating whether to construct sails on mine, so sounds like I ought toglad to hear you are getting in the spirit Mr C - eat our sail !
I was thinking of getting Ian to construct some sort of plank across the river, and then they have some wicked Gladiator style foam beater sticks in Asda, so we could recreate Wolf and Lightening, but thought that might be taking it to far !!
Also, how would you transport said plank?
Jules after my Dubrovnik "incident" methinks I should steer well clear of water and this sounds like the sort of thing I would definitely end up with an injury doing.
On the other hand we got home from work to find India's boat floating in the bath - so I must knuckle down and sort mine out - I have ordered the outboard motor and rudder just need to whittle down the tree trunk and I will be ready. No need for sails on my baby
