GFVs, Friend coming with car, middle of trip

Hi.
My mom's friend will be staying overnight with us during our 10 night trip at GFVs. I hadn't added her to our ressie since she was coming in to see my mom, have dinner, drinks and then stay over until next morning.

The friend will have a car. I wasn't going to put her on our ressie since she wasn't doing any park days with us, but thinking I'll add her, change our dinner ressies to the Wave and then go up to ToTW for dessert/drinks.

If she is on the ressie, and I am the DVC owner, using our points for GFVs, does she need to pay for parking? I guess I could give the front desk her car information but I don't remember if we pay or parking or not since we usually use the buses and if we pay, it really doesn't matter if I give our information or not does it?

She won't have to pay parking (or have trouble getting into the resort) if she is listed on your reservation.. Make sure she knows to tell the guard in the entrance shack that the reservation is under your name (or whoever is lead on it). Ask at the front desk when you check in if you need some type of paper parking pass for her. I don't think you will, though.

No paper passes any more. She needs to be on the reservation if she is spending the night. Since you are on a DVC reservation, no charge for parking.

Yes, I'd definitely get her a magic band, if she doesn't already have one of her own, and make sure she has a MyDisneyExperience account, so that her Magic Band can be linked to your account as Friends and Family, and be identified as a guest on your reservation. Then her Magic Band should work to open doors and gates as necessary. IF she is local to the area (as it sounds like she is) she probably already has a Magic Band if she is a Disney fan.

You can get her a magic band at the front desk (and not just a gray one) when she arrives. So you could just wait until you get there to add her to your reservation (she still needs to be on the reservation if she is spending the night) and request a magic band for her.
