We are DH & DW in our late 50's
And our young adult DS & DD

If we stay in a Deluxe resort we will pay an extra $50 a night.

We thought renting a DVC would cost us less per night.
We plan on renting a studio.

BWV is close to EPCOT, our favorite WDW park.
Looks like there is enough drawer space in the pictures.
But we would need to bring a blow-up mattress for one of our DS or DD to sleep on.

GFV - close to MK, our 2nd favorite park, and a monorail away from EPCOT.
The studio has a pull out bed which would fit our DD, who is about 5' 2".
But I have read about problems about storage space.

Our family does bring clothes and product.
Our DD is the abuser.
We have at least 8 pairs of footwear.

Which studio would be best for us - BWV or GFV ?

I would do VGF. I stayed in a studio in May. There's the pulldown bed plus there is a tub/shower and a separate walk-in shower so 2 people can shower at the same time. Room is beautiful, the only hotel room I've seen with a tray ceiling!

You will have trouble with storage space at VGF unless you all agree to take less than normal. There is 1 useable drawer, some closet space, and 3 small cubies in the closet to fit everyone's clothing and stuff in. The sinks do have some storage underneath for product.Shoes can fit in the floor in the closet but it is the clothing and such you will have more trouble with storing. 2 suitcases can fit under thje bed but more than that will also be out around your room. It depends on how long you are staying and what all you plan to bring. Also over the door holders that some people use for storage can't be used at VGF studios as there are no doors they will fit on.

I love the VGF but wouldn't stay in a studio there with 4 adults- they are not designed for that many people and their things in reality.

Agree with pp that storage at VGF is minimal. My wife and I were in a studio there a couple of weeks ago and loved the resort and the room. However, there was barely room for the two of us and a week's worth of clothes; I can't imagine four people sharing the same space. While the Murphy bed under the TV is a nice touch, that arrangement takes away all the drawers that would normally be there. There are two large drawers under the bed, but as mentioned, you can only access one due to the furniture arrangement. The three cubicles in the closet are about one foot square each and stacked on top of each other. Beyond that, there are no other places to stash folded clothes. The closet itself is very small and even that space is impacted by the safe, the iron/ironing board, and the vacuum cleaner. The split bathroom is also quite handy; unfortunately, all the area they used for the second shower/tub takes up valuable space for something such as a larger closet or a small bureau. It is a gorgeous room, no doubt, but cramped for more than two or three.

As for BWV, you definitely have more drawer space, but you'll have to juggle bringing and working around a blow-up mattress if that's your choice. You'll be able to have more space to put your clothes, but that might be more difficult to access due to space limitations you create. Still, if it's storage you prefer over nicer accommodations, then BWV is your choice. If you want newness, more peace and quiet, and a more luxurious feel, then VGF fits the bill. I guess the decision comes down to your bottom line needs and desires. Good luck!

Are you really sure about a studio for 4 adults? They are really not designed for that and will feel very small. What about renting a one bedroom at a lower points resort maybe OKW rather than a studio at a more expensive resort.

Agreed with a studio not being right for 4 adults. We usually go with a 2BR but that's because we usually travel with my married DD. You can do a 1BR and have plenty of space. A studio will be tight on space.

As for location, my opinion with the ages is BWI. Lots of activity and variety!
