We are staying at the WL- one night we are having dinner at 6:10 at 1900 park fare- I was thinking we would drive to the GF in the afternoon- valet park- take the monorail over to MK for a few hours then back to GF for dinner- not sure of timing though- how long will it take? WHat time do i need to leave for my dinner res? Thanks!!!!!

From the GF to the MK - its the next stop -- literally takes minutes once the monorail arrives.

Coming back its the last stop - I like to take the boat back as its the first stop on the boat.
So if the boat is there it takes maybe ten minutes to get across the lagoon - if you take the monorail you stop at Contemporary, TTC, and Poly first - I have had it take 45 minutes (ACK) but that is unusual - I would say if you left MK by 5:30 you should be good.

Thanks- is there something that would be better to do? We will be at the WL in the early afternon because my mom is arriving- we have a car- what would you do?

Honestly - being at the MK -- I would just use park transportation for the entire event -- you can take the boat to MK in the afternoon from the WL- then boat or monorail to the GF for dinner, then monorail back to MK (assuming its still open and I would think it would be) after dinner and take the boat back to the WL ...if MK is still open you could also stop back in for another ride or parade or whatever.

I don't see a real need to use the car in this situation.

I was trying to avoid MK afterwards because PP starts at 7:30- seemed like
between everyone leaving park after fireworks- coming in for PP it would be a
mess- maybe not though?

Ahh I see so you are concerned about the congestion leaving the MK - I guess I can sort of see that concern but you would all ready be out so it would just be the boat congestion back to WL - I think I would go with that although the drive over in the afternoon plan would work too (but would cost 10.00 plus tip)
