GF or Poly

I just can't seem to choose between the two resorts. Each time I try I end up changing my mind again.

Can you see the fireworks from the beach @ GF?


Is the Club Royal lounge informal but everything that one could wish for ( like the lounge @ Poly)_

If you stay Club royal is that in a certain building and if so does that building offer views of the MK castle.

Yes there are places on the GF beach that you can see the Wishes fireworks. I have heard that over near the boat dock, you can also hear the music and narration.

The Royal Palm Club (RPC) is in the main building of the GF. The other buildings, called lodge houses, are not RPC. The Sugar Loaf lodge building has its own concierge lounge with food offerings and helpful staff. But the RPC has more food offerings and alcohol too, which SL does not.

As for views of the Castle from the main building, you might want to check out the GF thread on these boards.

I hear alot of Poly fans saying that they have a better view of the castle, but I cant disagree more. The Poly IMO has the worst view of the castle of any monorail resort because the castle is sooo far away (across the entire lagoon). Conch Key and I believe a couple of other buildings have GREAT views of the castle (and close too), you can actually hear the music from the magic kingdom playing.

Stayed at Poly early this year, the view of the castle was miniscule, just this tiny little thing in the distance over the trees.

I have to agree with FutureWasYesterday. I stayed at the Poly last month (July) and thought the view of the castle was very small. The fireworks can be seen from just about anywhere though. We ate at Narcoossee's at GF though and the view of the castle from there was 10 times better.
