The resort is very small. We stayed in the DVC building in June and could walk anywhere in about 5 minutes. Honestly, we thought our location was the best. Five minutes to anywhere on property and 5 minutes walk to the Polynesian. Perfection!

Sounds great! I'm really looking forward to being so "close to the Magic" and having the monorail convenience (although I hear the monorail can be inconvenient as well!). The monorail has always been my favorite mode of Disney transportation!

You will love RPC! It is expensive, but it's also an amazing CL and is worth it, IMO. Enjoy the planning, I hope a discount comes your way as it gets closer .

Thank you! I recognize you from the GF thread! I've been reading since page 1 but I'm in the 290s now! It'll take me awhile to get through 440 something pages, but I've got plenty of time until my GF trip, and I've gained a lot of information there! I'm looking forward to joining in the conversation and asking any more specific questions I don't have answered by the time I've finished reading. I'm definitely keeping fingers crossed for a discount by then. Hopefully I'll still be an AP which might make my odds a little higher!

Also, book what you can afford before any discounts. As others have said, there are no guarantees that discounts will be offered and they are always limited.

Thank you for that advice! I'm starting to save now so that what I can afford by then will hopefully be enough for what I want! Oh how I wish they didn't close the Disney Vacation Accounts... oh well. If I get a discount, it'll just be that much more magic! If not, I'll still be able to enjoy the resort stay of my dreams.
