Getting your drink on in the most magical place on earth

Where can I get a margarita, green on the rockswith salt. Non of that blended junk?? Preferably with a side of chips / salsa. ?

Living overseas and miss that. I travel with my mom, i am 40 but need to be on good behavior still ;). She thinks drinking At WDW it too expensive.

But we share a case of blue moon beer in our room. Last year we left a few bottles as part of the mousekeeping tip as we couldn't really pack it.

La Cava de Tequila

No one has mentioned that you are allowed to leave each park WITH a to go cup or (even better) your resort mug! Many drinks had to be chugged or tossed before I learned that! Although chugging your margarita before hopping on the monorail makes for a good time

I have to say, my family and I are not the biggest soda drinkers and we're not doing the dining plan so the re-fillable mugs were not on my radar much. But thanks to this thread, they are now :rotfl:

I don't think that's true. Each park and resort had a different liquor license I believe and you are suppooooosed to finish them before leaving.

Just read through the entire thread while taking notes. Being a margarita fan, I took note of all the types I'd like to try. Looks like you will find me at La Cava frequently this October. Cheers to all :thumbsup2

La Cava's Blood Orange Margarita is delish! And once you've completed your drinking around the world, head on over to Kimono's for some Karaoke... :) :mic:

Well THAT makes a huge difference. Hmmm.....

If the margarita isn't tasty nor very strong, let your server know. The last time we were there, DD had the server check her drink and he immediately had the bartender make her a new, very strong avocado margarita.

We were at Epcot on Saturday, just DH and I and one thing I learned is that drinking around the world results in peeing around the world! DH threatened to make me a t-shirt of the world showcase with all the restrooms highlighted so I could check off each one as I stopped.

Take note that La Cava is no longer mixing their margaritas to order, making them far less enticing, at least to my mind.

On Saturday my avocado margarita was poured from a jug, DH had a blood orange one which was freshly made. I also watched them dump a freshly made blood orange one down the drain that they made by mistake. Alcohol abuse!

I love this thread! Can't wait to drink around the world in December! And I had no idea you could walk around Epcot and through the shops with your drinks. Reminds me of Key West :). Super pumped!

I wondered this! Muy excited to read that I can :D

Does anyone know about buying a drink/glass of wine at the resort bar/lounge (AKL) and taking it back to the room? Is that okay?

(If this is a stupid question, please don't point it out -- I don't get out much :rotfl2: )

Yes that's fine!

Hmmm, I'm thinking if I order a margarita there, I'll ask them which ones are pre-mixed. :confused3

I was really displeased to read about the drinks at La Cava being premixed on the easywdw blog. I wonder if that's just frozen margs or ones on the rocks, too?
Food & Wine starts in the middle of my trip, so I'm excited to have the Epcot standards in the beginning of my trip, and then switch to the F&WF offerings.

When we were there in March, I'm pretty sure my Avocado was premade, as I had to send it back for more tequila. DH had a few on the rocks and they seemed to be the same as always.

I had a regular margarita a few years back in San Angel Inn and I KNOW it had ZERO tequila in it. We were the first people at lunch and I would bet $100 they forgot the tequila in the mix machine.

That is so tragic.
