Has anyone experienced being able to get your dessert credits to go from a table service location?? IF so, where and how did it work?? I'm just wondering how common it is to do and if you'll get a hard time..... My theory is what if you've had your meal and maybe an app. and your too full by the time dessert comes around..... will they let you get an item to go, rather than waste the credit. or waste the food by getting it and not being able to eat it.. even if its some sort of "replacement dessert". (i realize a lot of dessers in Disney arent made "to go") Thanks for any information!

DH and I got our desserts to go from the Kona Cafe' without a problem. To full to eat it then. I got the coconut kiki and DH got the cheese cake. We made sure to get a dessert that did not have ice cream as that doesn't travel well. :goodvibes

We've gotten our desserts to go at almost every signature TS. They've even included the forks for us.

I think the servers are happy to pack up your dessert(s) to go. Think about it, then you are tipping on the higher meal cost, sure you are still only using the one TS credit. But if you increase your "bill" by $15, with 2 or 3 desserts, you've increased their tip by about $3, with very little effort on the server's part. :)

We had 8 nights DP last Xmas and I think we managed to eat dessert twice. The rest of the time we got it to go. Tried to get something that was kind of acceptable to eat for breakfast. Fruit Salad etc but quite often DH & DS were eating chocolate cake for breakfast!! Well, we were on holiday!!
As far as I now, all restaurants are happy for you to take your dessert home, except the buffets of course. We have 17 nights free dining next August and I have a feeling there will be lots of cake eaten for breakfast!!
Hope this helps.

We've had no problem as well, the servers are very accommodating. The only thing to consider is how far the location is from the restaurant to where you are staying. I usually carry gallon zip lock bags to put around the container to make it easier to carry if I'm going very far. I use them for popcorn as well, and place it in there right away, so I don't have to eat that all at once either. The servers also pack up other leftovers as well.
