I'm nervous. Mom is taking me to get my wisdom teeth pulled in the morning :( owie

{{{HUGS}}} I had all four pulled at once years ago, so I know what you will be going through.

PS - Make sure mom picks up plenty of ice cream for after. :)

:bounce::wave::bounce:

I had mine taken oot a few months ago and survived. I hope all goes smoothly for you. :)

You'll be fine, I know it is scarrey. Maybe the tooth fairy will visit your house, Hopefully your mom will read this to get that idea planted in her head. Eat lots of icecream and make sure you get some rest, you will be OK, dont be scared, I know it is easier to say that then do it but you will laugh later on after it is done saying why did I get nervous, it was nothing. Lets us know how you are doing after having it done. :D

I had mine removed when I was in college and honestly it wasn't too bad for me. I hope yours aren't too painful for you too!

I also had mine removed while in college.....DH waited until he was 30.......neither of us had any problems.....hope it goes well for you.

Had mine done about 20 years ago. Awful experience. Face was black and blue for two weeks, couldn't open my mouth because the surgeon had clamped it so far open it was very badly bruised, painkillers were too strong and I slept for a week, and they took the stitches out way too early and left four gaping holes in my mouth. Missed a week of university to boot!

Hope you have better luck than I did!

Good luck, AngieBelle....

I had all 4 pulled at once when I was 22. I spent the next 24 hours in bed and all was fine afterwards :)

Not the most pleasant of experiences, but I'm sure you'll do fine :)

I had all 4 of mine out while I was in college. The same day I got them pulled, my beloved grandfather died! I attended the funeral swollen and high on painkillers. It was not a pretty picture! Other than that, it wasn't that bad - no complications.

I'm back. It wasn't so bad. I hardly felt a thing when they were doing it. But now I can't talk because my mouth is all numb and I have to keep biting down on the cotton they gave me. icky

Yay! I'm glad it wasn't too bad for you! I hope you feel better soon! Tell your mom you can only drink milkshakes and chocolate malts for the next few days. :p

Well, it sounds like you did ok! Im glad, it sure seems to effect people differently, mine wasn't bad at all, hopefully you'll recover very quickly!!!:D

My DD just got her's pulled in November. They did it in the hospital under general anesthesia. She remembered nothing about it. She did really well afterward too. I'll be crossing my fingers that you will too. :D

You will do fine!!! {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}

Whatever you do-DON'T drink from a straw!!!! (It might dislodge those blood clots).

Be sure to use ice packs on your face and try to sleep sitting up to help keep swelling down. My 17 yo DS went thru this in August so his experience is still fresh in my mind!

I need all of mine wisdom teeth pulled, too. But even worse, if I ever want braces to fix my teeth, I would need four additional teeth pulled!!!! So I would need 8 teeth total pulled!!! I never heard of anyone getting that many pulled!! 4 wisdoms sound like a walk in the park compared to 8! Ugh! :(

Hope your insurance covered it! Sure hope you start feeling better soon!

I've had 8 pulled too... 4 for braces at one time. 3 wisdoms at once not that long ago and 1 wisdom pulled a few years back... sucks....

{{hugs}} Angie, I just had mine out last month and it only was bad for 2 days then I felt pretty good. :) Get lots of rest! And use those icepacks they helped me alot.

I got 3 of my teeth pulled a couple months ago, Here are some good pointers.

Let the dentist know you are scared, they might perscribe you some relaxers to take before the appointment. Makes you more relaxed and less scared at that moment.

Bring a radio with ear-buds. Put the radio in your hand, and your finger on the volume. When the sounds of the work they are doing get too great, turn up the volume to drown out the sounds.

Gas is your friend! My Doctor gave me gas during the procedure. Insurance didn't pay for it, but it was the best 45.00 spent.

Of couse have someone there to take care of you. Prop yourself up in front of the TV or a book. Drinking things is probably all you going to be able to do, so stock up on chicken broth, fav drinks, etc.

Most of all take it easy.
