Getting US Reservation Number when Booking Through Disney UK

I normally book directly with Disney in the US, but the UK site seems to have some good prices at the moment so I've just booked our room for August with them.

When I go to make my ADR's on Friday will I be able to use my UK reservation number or will it cause me problems?

With all the horror stories about making ADR's at the moment I'd rather have everything I need before I make the dreaded call

Thanks
Melissa

I had the same worries, so I phoned Disney UK up the day before I made my ADR's and asked for my US reservation number (I explained that friends had been having problems recently making their ADR's with their UK number.) The UK CM put me on hold for a few minutes whilst she got the info from guest services, then I was all set. I was definately glad I had my US number when I phoned for my ADR's yesterday, plus it came in handy again today when I phoned to book a tour. When you phone Disney UK you need to make sure it is after 12:00pm as they need to speak to a WDW CM to get the number and they do not begin work until that time.
Hope that helps.

Wow - Thanks for the quick response.

I've only just made the booking so will give them a call tomorrow or Thursday so that I'll be ready on Friday.

Thanks
Melissa

Happy to help, ooh, I see you are from near where I live! If the CM you speak to says they can't get the info ask them to contact guest services to get it.

I was wondering about this too so thanks for posting :)
Although my parents booked their ADRs about two weeks ago and weren't asked for their US number, just their surname and where they were staying, so I'm not sure whether I should get the number or not now :confused3

We booked a FD trip for last year through Virgin so we didn't have a US reservation number and couldn't do anything about getting one when we booked are ADR's at 180 days.

But we got a CM who was happy to book them for us +10. When we called for the extra 6 days (we did 16 nights) we had to do them day by day.

With all the horror stories on the Restaurant Board I'm not taking the chance that I will get a helpful and understanding CM this time!

I phoned on Monday via the UK Disney no. and they put me through but wouldn't give me the US res no.

However I had no problems at all, they just checked the arrival date and surname. I had read all the threads as well about needing the number, but was okay in the end :)

We're booked through Virgin Holidays, will they be able to tell us our US Disney ressie numbers?

Hi,

With my expierience last year then no. But I have heard some people say they have got the number out of them. But I wonder if it was just that they didn't have any problems making the +10 ressies.

I didn't take no as an answer lightly from them. I pointed out in writing that this was a perk of staying on site at Disney and one of the reasons for paying a premium and that it was no wonder that people book direct so they can take full advantage of the perks of staying on site.

The response was somewhere along the lines of they book an allocation of rooms and don't provide indiviual guests details until much nearer the time and certinaly not until the balance of the holiday had been paid in full.

Meryll your WC should be able to tell you them, they provided me with mine.
We have ours, I've seen it on some of our paperwork, so I'll have to ask her if she can tell me my parents' number too, as I know they want to get their ADR's booked in as soon as the timeslot arrives....

They gave me my parents.

i recently tried to get my US number from them (UK) when i phoned to deal with another 'issue'. they would not give it to me, and assured me that i did not need it; as disney dining would have "no problem whatsoever in locating your booking"

I called Disney UK today to put a room location request on my booking, whilst I was on the phone I asked for the US res no & she put me on hold and spoke to guest services, when she came back she said that I would have to go through to WDW dining to get it? :confused3 She transferred my call & I got the message that the queue time was over 30 mins so hung up! :headache:

i called disney dining a few days ago and it took them about an hour to find my reservation !!!
But now i have my USref number so hopefully online ADR is coming soon so i can make some changes to it.
Tried to make DME reservations thru the US site , but there was told i could because i got booked thru a travelagent and had to contact them.

Wasn't there no website where i could do this online ?
And what about roompreferences, can you do these online or do i have to call the UK number ?

i used the online message/contact us form online to request my US-ref, as i pressumed it would go straight to guest relations, (you'll notice there is no email address in the 'contact us' info; just their phone no.). well after 2 weeks, this is their official reply
