Getting to the parks from Paradise Pier

Hi everyone,

I check in to Paradise Pier on Wednesday and am so excited but had a question.

I know on our DL starting day we need to walk through Downtown Disney but for DCA are we allowed to use the special entrance at the Grand Californian? I have seen sites saying no we can't and some saying that you used to be not able to but since they opened back up from Covid that they are letting Paradise Pier hotel guests use the special entrance. I am just trying to get my planning down and would like to figure it out.

Honestly, when we stayed at GCH the line at that DCA entrance was so long and slow in the morning that it would have been better for us to use the front gates.

....when we visited DL and stayed at the Disneyland Hotel, we were told that the GC entrance was only for guests staying there, which is why I chose not to stay at Paradise Pier - the walk was too much of an inconvenience to go to the DTD entrance...
