Our last trip we discovered that our DS7 cannot take a Disney bus without vomiting. Every.single.time. It was a nightmare the first few times and he felt awful for hours after.

This time, we are renting a car and staying at AoA-- which is fine except for getting to MK. Driving to the TTC and then taking the Ferry over is not my favorite option.

What do you recommend for a family of 5 with all three kids in boosters? Lyft? Minnie Vans (are they available at AoA now?)

We had originally booked at Poly to avoid this problem but we had to economize.

Don't know what hike you're referring to. The monorail station is about as close as you can get to the entrance.

Lyft & Uber cannot drop off at MK; you would still need to take ferryboat or monorail from TTC, or walk 1/2 mi. from CR.

Minnie Vans drop at the MK bus area, but you have to be a Guest at a Deluxe Resort to use them.

    Your options are
    Take the bus to MK
Drive to TTC and take boat
Drive to TTC and take monorail
Take Uber/Lyft/Cab to Contemporary and walk 1/2 mile to MK

    Regarding Lyft, Uber, MV:
    • Lyft has no child seats
    • Uber can be requested with one car seat for additional charge
    • MV has 2 child seats
If one (or 2) of your kids are small enough to use the available child seat(s), you would need to provide your own boosters for the others.

For Lyft or Uber; you would need a large vehicle: Lyft Plus or UberXL.

If you're looking for a way to get to the same area as the buses drop off, it isn't an option. Only MinnieVans can get in there, and as noted, as of right now, only deluxe resorts are using them. The best you can do is get to the CR and then walk over...takes about 10 mins. Pretty much the same as parking at the TTC, and boating over.

The monorail and ferry are in pretty close proximity to one another at the TTC, and the monorail practically drops you at the entrance to MK.

The only way you could use Uber or Lyft is if you bring inflatable boosters. Minnie Van is not an option for you, since you're staying at a value resort.

You could take Uber with your son and have your wife take the bus with the other 2 kids and meet at the gate.

Also, just curious, does your son not respond to motion sickness medicine? You may have already done this, but it might be worth talking to his doctor to see if there's something else he can try or maybe take the medication at a different time, or something. (I dunno, I'm not a doctor.)
