Getting to Hoop De Doo from Contemporary

Hi! Am I right in thinking that those docks in front of MK are where the boat to Pioneer Hall for Hoop De Do is? Does the boat drop you off right at Pioneer Hall or at a spot where we need to walk much/take the internal shuttle? How long is the ride on the MK boat to Pioneer Hall? Would arriving at the docks at 3pm get us to a 4pm show on time? Do those docks in the back of contemporary have boats to take you to Hoop De Doo? Thanks!

I’ll let someone else answer about the boats, as I’m not sure which are running (or not).

But when the boat pulls up to FW, you get off and walk straight up a little ways, and you’ll see Pioneer Hall up on your right. There is plenty of signage.

There is also a bus that can take you there, but I’m less familiar with that. I do love the food there! Have fun!

You have to take the boat from MK. It is an easy walk to Pioneer Hall once they drop you off.

the boat from MK is the easiest way to Hoop Dee Doo. from the boat dock it is a short walk over there. no bus involved. last I knew boats from Contemporary were not running but I could be wrong

It's been a bit since we've done Hoop (June 2022) but my understanding is that boat is still not running.

OP, we also took the boat from MK to get there.

We always leave lots of time time. I think theoretically that'll work, but I'd probably go a little earlier and stick by the 90-minute suggestion WDW always gives for transportation. Once you get over to Pioneer Hall, you need to check in, etc.

We were early and when we got there, there were already a ton of people waiting - I just asked DH and he said we got there about 45 minutes early. I want to say that was about the same the other time we went to the show.

You are correct about those back docks but as a PP mentioned those boats have not yet returned. Normally they have smaller boats that run2 routes, clockwise and counterclockwise, between the CR, WL, and FW

All indications are they won't be coming back.

Maybe with the advent of the DVC cabins, boat service will return. I can hope, at least.

The camping forum is pretty active, with people coming and going all the time. Boat transportation is a common question here, about once or twice a week. People who are staying at the Fort regularly report on the boats so we're usually not more than a week, sometimes less updated on the status. Keep checking or do a search for the latest.
