Getting to HDDR

How is the best way to get to HDDR (staying at ASMu, will likely be at MK this day)? I know that there are boats and buses available, however, which way has the least hassle. We will have a car, but last time we went to Fort Wilderness for the Chip and Dale campfire, I remember parking my car and trying to get on the right bus and it was not too smooth.

Anyway, is the HDDR close to where the boat docks? If it is a quick walk, it might be best to take the boat from MK (I can do this, right?) I heard that after the HDDR there are buses that take you back to your resort, is this true?

If you're going to be at MK, take the boat, as the boat dock is a very short distance from Pioneer Hall.

Yay! That is exactly what I wanted to hear!

Do you happen to know anything about these buses that return HDDR guests to their resort? (I read this on an allearsnet review page)

Not specifically, as I've always just ridden the boat back to MK. I heard they have the buses, but I am not clear on whether that's done after all shows or just the 9:30 PM show. If buses are still running from MK, you can always ride the boat back there and catch a resort bus at MK.

The day we had ADRs for the HDDR (12/26), we made a day of it at the resort. I had made reservations for my DD(16) to go horseback riding that afternoon. We had driven so after she did that my DH rented a golf cart and we were able to tour the grounds until it was time for dinner. It was a little chilly but we rode around looking at the different campers who had decorated for Christmas. It was convenient to get back to our vehicle after we returned the golf cart. It was a good day and a nice hoorah to end our vacation.

Hmm...this day will be towards the end of our vacation...I can check into some of these things as well...but it will be August...kind of hot for that stuff!
