Getting to DTD...No car

I just learned from a thread that I can't leave a park on Disney Transportation to head to DTD. I had plans to go there after Animal Kingdom. How should I go about doing this? If I understand correctly, I CAN catch a bus back to CBR from DTD, right? Thanks for any help!

that is correct you can to to the transportation and ticket center and transfer there or go to any hotel on a bus and then transfer. from the port orleans you can also take a boat to dtd. hope this helps.

Okay... So since I'll be leaving Animal Kingdom, I could take a bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge since it's close and just hop on the DTD bus from there.

These boards have helped keep me out of some confusion that I didn't even know was coming! Thanks!

Ness2289, I believe going from the AK to AKL and take a bus to DTD from there, sounds like the best way.

Yes, you can do it that way... but personally I wouldn't recommend going to AKL. Been there done that... AKL seemed to have the longest wait for buses I have ever experienced from any resort (for a DTD or any other bus for that matter). You may have better luck than we did- but trust me... I'D never go to AKL to wait for a bus to some other place again... that's for sure. YMMV

CS is just as close. Do you think that would work just as well?

There are no busses to DTD from the TTC. You must go through a resort.

Regardless of the wait (this changes all the time; every guest has different experiences), your best bet is to use the CS or AKL DTD bus.

You could also take a bus to Saratoga Springs from Animal Kingdom and walk to Downtown Disney. It is maybe a quarter mile from the FIRST Saratoga Springs bus stop to the Marketplace.
