Getting to DS and Gideon's at opening

To make sure I am thinking clearly- to get to DS at the earliest time possible so I can be close to the front of the line at Gideon's, I take a bus from our resort to DS, right? If so, what time would I catch a bus? I believe the parking garages open at 9 am so I assume a bus would not arrive at DS before then.

Is there a better way?

I think Uber is your best bet if you don't have a car. Parking garage (orange) opens at 9 but Disney Springs doesn't open until later and their buses don't seem to follow the same timing rules as the park buses.

In my experience, busses to Disney Springs don't start running until close to opening. This past weekend, it wasn't until 9:30. I've seen it as late as 9:50 in past trips. We got right in line for Gideon's when we arrived, but still had about an hour and a half wait (and they didn't open the virtual queue until just before we got into the store). If you're going on a weekday, it would probably be a shorter wait and taking the bus might be okay, but if you're going on the weekend, I would definitely consider taking an Uber or Lyft to get there earlier.
