Getting to DLP

Hi,

I'm itching to book a break to DLP in December (their 3 nights for price of 2 offer). Last year was our first time (we ended up going twice!) and both times we got the VEA shuttle from the airport. This year in addition to our 3yr old son we are going to be brave and take our 4 month baby. I'm assuming that the shuttle would still be ok for us, but we were thinking about getting a taxi as my sister and her bf are also coming. Do taxis/minbuses take babies i.e. we wouldn't have a baby seat. I only ask but when we went to Jersey with our son we found it very hard to find a taxi that would take our son because they didn't have child seats.....I may be fretting over nothing but we don't want to end up stranded at the airport! I would be grateful for any advice in regards to getting to the Park from the airport with a young baby in tow.

I'm afraid this is a rather rushed post, but on this thread you will find a number of links for private shuttle companies that go to DLP. If you prebook, you know exactly what price you're paying (taxis can vary trememdously) and you should be able to request a car seat.

Legally carseat usage for children are stricter than here. When we hired a car we discovered that under 10's should be in some form of booster.
I doubt however that taxis, as they are in this country are strict about restraints for children.

They're def initely not as fussy in taxis! There were 7 of us there in August and the prices quoted for pre-booking taxis were quite expensive (about 140E I seem to remember so we didn't bother). While we were waiting for the shuttle a taxi driver came over to us and offered to take us for 80E so we agreed but when he came back with the car it was only a six seater. Against our better judgement we took it as we were all hot and tired but it meant my 2 yr old was on my knee with the seatbelt strapped over both of us. Going back to CDG our hotel rang us a taxi which was a lovely 8 seater and still only charged us 80 Euros. Sorry i don't think I've been much help, only to say that the taxi drivers aren't fussy about child seats etc!

Hi, thanks for your replies. I think we will get the shuttle bus to the park and get a taxi for the return. I guess babies are ok on the bus?
