Hi Guys

I was wondering if someone could help me out. I bought my Disneyworld tickets direct from the Disneyworld website a couple of months ago, I have now confirmed our hotel, and I just assumed that there would be a shuttle from our International Drive hotel to Disneyworld - but there's not!

I have spoken to the hotel and they have told me it will cost $35 each way in a taxi.

My question is - are there shuttles I can use that are cheaper than the cost of a taxi? I have been searching on google but to no avail.

Thanks
Simone

have you considered renting a car? If you check the mousesavers site there are usually some codes to use and get your price down.

I would suggest renting a car as well... and checking out the website mentioned above (Mousesavers). I am sorry that you don't have a shuttle that will take you directly to the parks. Which hotel are you staying at?

Just a welcome to the DIS, Simone. :wave2: Enjoy.

If a rental car won't break the bank, it's the best way to go when staying off site. Welcome to the Dis Simone:earsboy:

Hi Guys

Thanks for the warm welcome - this place is very friendly!!

Thanks also for the replies, renting a car is not an option for us as we don't have our licenses :o

However, I did do some research from work today and found a company named Mears Transportation. I called them and they said a round trip from our hotel (which is the Holiday Inn International Drive) to Disneyworld would be $14 per person per day, with shuttles running every hour. I think that's ok, and it's still cheaper than a taxi! But we'll probably be on the bus for a while for other hotel pick-ups etc.

Thanks once again for your assistance, we can't wait to see America!!!! (we're from Australia)

I just wanted to say Welcome to the Dis Smone!!!!

We head to LA on the 4th of March but don't make it to Disneyworld until the 14th of March.

Welcome to the DIS!
I will make a suggestion. If its possible see if you can cancel ressie for International drive stay and stay on WDW property. The transportation is included in stay. We stayed at The Grovesnor once which is on International Dr. At that time they provided transportation. AllStars and Pop Century are all reasonable, by the time you pay for transportation you will come out ahead in $$s probably.
Just a suggetion but might be worth looking into.
