Getting to Disney Springs on Marathon Day

My family and I are traveling to WDW in January around marathon weekend. My daughter was interested in going to Bibbity Boppity Boutique (maybe her last time since she is getting older), so I got a reservation for the Disney Springs location on Sunday January 8th. After making the reservation, I realized that the full marathon is run that morning, and we have a 9 am reservation. I know that they close some of the roads for the marathon, so now I'm worried that we may have trouble getting to Disney Springs. We are staying at Old Key West, and have boat service, but it does not start until later in the day. We will have our car, so I don't have to rely on buses, but am I going to be able to access the roads to get us from OKW to the parking garage at that hour (say 8:15-8:30 am). I would rather have the early reservation so that we have the rest of the day to enjoy doing other things, but if transportation there is a problem, do you think it's best to change the time?

I think you might see some extra traffic but old key west and springs are neighbors. The marathon is between the parks so I don't think you'll have to deal with any closed roads to figure your way around. leave 10 minutes earlier or use the bus is what I would do but it should be mostly smooth to get there. now getting where your going after it might take longer.

You'll be fine driving over. The marathon route is not close to DS.
