We are taking our first trip to Disney next month and have reservations for brunch at Chef Mickey's. What is the best way to get there from Magic Kingdom? How long should we plan for travel?

Thanks!

10 minute walk or you could take the monorail- allow extra time if you take the monorail though- you never know how long you'll have to wait for it or how crowded it will be.

You would leave from the front of the park- go right for the monorail or left for the walkway to the contemporary.

Perfect! Thanks so much!

I will say Monorail. It leaves you right in front of the restaurant! Get on in front of MK, and it stops in the hotel, same floor, right near the entrance of CM. And.....it's a good excuse to ride the monorail!!!

The monorail takes longer, though. It'll add about 20 minutes or so.

Completely agree, unless you have a few really slow walkers like I have in my family...lol. :)

My kids love to use a CM dinner as an excuse to ride the monorail. It's part of our tradition. For them, it is like another ride.....lol. They still remember getting to ride in the front a few years back with the conductor. Such a shame that they no longer allow this (although I understand why). Both my kids still have their assistant monorail drivers cards!

In any case, walking or monorail are both choices. Up to each vacationer!

Thanks again everyone! I'm hoping my kids will have enough energy to make the 10 minute walk over to Chef Mickey's. Don't want to run the chance of missing reservations waiting for the monorail. I think we will plan to ride the monorail after Chef Mickey's though, for the experience.
