Due to flight schedules we have decided to fly in a day earlier than planned. I just booked a cape may breakfast at 10:20 for our bonus day. We will be coming straight from our resort (Coronado Springs) to the restaurant. Is it faster to take a bus to Epcot and walk or should we take a bus to HS and walk/take the boat. We don't mind walking, just prefer the fastest way to get there. Thanks!

Walking from Epcot would be the fastest option in terms of getting from either park to Cape May. As for the bus, it's only going to be a couple of minutes difference getting to either park from CSR. I would get on whichever bus comes first whether HS or Epcot.

the only problem with this is you have to go into the park if you walk from epcot. If you go that way and they have a line to get in you will be wasting a lot of time. I would either walk from HS or take a taxi/uber if time is an issue. I would not waste my time going through epcot

A bus to EPCOT will require you to walk through the park and out the International Gateway, since buses drop off at the front of the park and Cape May/Beach Club are out the back. I'd go with the bus to HS so you don't have to go through a park, especially if you won't have park hoppers or want to use a park ticket that day.

Yes, good point. I forgot about that option only working if you had a park hopper ticket!

If you have the budget, taxi or uber over to Cape May from your hotel. We did that from POC to YC last year, and the taxi there was $20. Uber is supposedly cheaper (I've never taken that route). We took a taxi on the way back, similar fee..but this was split among a few adults each paying their own way, so my individual portion of the bill was cheater than it would be for a family. Still, it was very relaxing and quick! Just an option :)

I suggest uber exclusively for resort to resort. Low stress and fast. As for pricing. We used it last trip a lot ..say 10 -15 times and the average fair across Disney was 7-9$. The app will tell you ahead of time what the fair will be. There can be "surge" pricing if a busy time/location. We had this once and it was $15. Spoil yourself and go this route. WE LOVED IT.

Thanks everyone!! I was planning on using Disney transportation exclusively but if uber is that cheap I might as well do that! We will have tickets and park hopers for that day but agter a late flight the night before I would prefer to take it easy on the morning since it's a bonus day.

I would say take a bus to HS. That way you don't have to go through security and the turnstiles at Epcot. It's about a 15 minute walk from HS to BC.
You can also catch one of the Friendship boats at DHS to the YC/BC dock. It is only about 5 minutes more then walking (20 min vs 15 min). If it is hot and humid, the boats have fans and A/C so depending on the time of year this might be an important factor.

I agree with this. I would avoid going thru epcot. I usually just take the bus to HS and from there i'll take the boat to BC. If you dont want to wait for the boat, you can walk. Its not far.

Just take a cab, it'll be about $20 and so much faster, easier, less stress than trying to do it on the cheap

We'd walk from DHS to the Beach Club, but we're walkers by nature. We dislike the Friendship launches. Too slow and we find it always stifling sitting inside.

We are also walkers by nature. If the walk isn't terrible then I'm guessing this is the option my husband will choose. We have a stroller for the kids so they can ride and if the weather is nice we can enjoy the walk.
