We have a 7 am Crystal Palace ADR, and the park opens at 8. We are hoping to get BTMRR and Splash Mtn done right after, avoiding long waits.

My Touring Plans says the wait for each is 15 -17 minutes. That seems kinda long considering we might be ahead of the the rope drop crowd. I would not mind the wait, except we are trying to get POTC done, too, before heading over to wait for Merida.

Thanks in advance for sharing any tips or experiences.

**Update below--- it all worked out!**

Just wanted to thank everyone again and give an update. We. Finished out breakfast at 7:45. We headed out to align through the Adventureland entrance, but it was roped off. A CM told us to head over to Fantasyland, and we we be to hop onto 7DMT with no wait. The rope drop crowd came at around 7:55.

Then we headed on over to BTMRR and Splash with absolutely no wait. We did each one once, but could have easily gone again. We were able to get POTC done before heading over for wait for Merida at 8:50. We were 4th in line, so I am glad we didn't get there much later

When are you going?

Last December, the MK opened at 8:00 every day of our trip. One day, we did BTMRR 4 times and Splash twice as walkons (or close to walkons). No offense to TP, but there is really no "rope drop" crowd in Frontierland. Crowds there don't typically pick up until after 10:00.

Yeah, usually Frontierland stays pretty empty for the first hour or so. Most folks either beeline for the Fantasyland must dos or head for Space Mountain. Your first two should be close to walk ons. But you may still have a line at POTC by the time you get there.

We've never had a long wait for either immediately after rope drop and those are our first rides at Disney. Both are almost always walk on, but keep in mind that Splash is about a 15 minute long ride. Probably better off riding Big Thunder first.

If you ride Big Thunder and Splash you should be at POC no later that 45 minutes after rope drop and the wait should still be short

Thanks for the responses! We are going... tomorrow morning! We have gone the week after Christmas 2014 with no waits. I didn't know if something changed since then. I know this week is possibly less crazy than around Christmas, but it seems about the same to me.

For 6/5, doing BTMRR at RD after stopping to meet Mickey (which TP says will be a 15 min wait), TP says 6 min wait. Maybe it's just the crowds for Easter week, but seems kind of odd to me.

We went to MK on march 10th. Arrived at 9am (people already being let in), heading straight to BTMRR and rode it 3 times in a row walk on/off. Then walked on to Pirates...then had a slightly longer wait (maybe 15 mins) at Haunted Mansion. Did standby a little later in the day for splash mountain which was about 30 mins.
