Getting to Blue Lagoon ourselves?

anyone have any tips on getting to blue lagoon ourselves, without signing up for disney excursion? thanks!

I am also interested in others thoughts on getting to Blue Lagoon on your own rather than through an excursion, and about what it cost you to do this.

As far as I can remember the only way to get there is by a ferry, and you have to have purchased either the blue lagoon stay or dolphins, or stingrays...but you dont have to do those thru disney they can be booked independantly.
