If you are planning to have dinner at AKL and then transfer back to AOA, AK will likely be closed.
I took a bus from AKL to DHS and then transferred to another bus from DHS to Pop. A bit of a pain. My AKL bus driver was not particularly "magical". We told him several times what we planned to do and he still insisted on dropping us off at the DHS main entrance. We then had to walk a loooooonnnggg way around to the resort bus stop area. As we walked, we watched him drive over to the same area and stop to pick up passengers. Don't know if that was just what he had to do - but sure was painful to watch lol.
The other option is a cab or call an uber car (cheaper). I don't know what AKL's policy is like, but most resorts I have stayed in will get me a town car when I ask for "a cab". They are fancier and the price is correspondingly higher. I usually have to be very specific and even then... One time I was in London and the darn airport hotel called me a super expensive black cab when I told them very specifically the kind of taxi I wanted. I was rushing at this point because we had rescheduled our flights at the last minute so we sucked it up and paid something like double the normal cost. Ouch.
