Would it be possible to get a meal from Marrakesh to go?

I would really like to try it, but DD is not interested. I was thinking of getting it to go, meeting DH & DD with their counter service lunchs & hopefully convince them to try a little of my meal. I'm sure DD will at least taste my dessert. I thought then maybe they would be willing to give it a REAL try the next time we plan to visit the world.

Tangier Cafe, also in Morroco has similar food to what is in the TS restaurant. They also have a bakery section with a range of desserts. If you can't get food from Marrakesh to go, this may be a good solution for you having what you want and maybe getting the others to try it.

I was just reading a thread here recently that said that table service restaurants are not set up to do to go orders. So I would just plan on getting somehting from the Tangerine Cafe like the other poster said.

I have already thought of Tangerine Cafe. :thumbsup2 I will have to settle for it if I can't get To GO, but I thought I have read where others had been able to get food To Go at some restaurants. I am just trying to explore options.

I know a woman whose husband got his V&A's meal to go! He had a migraine come on in the middle of dinner, so left to go up to their room at the GF. His wife decided that she was just going to stay in V&A's and keep on eating, but she did ask them to please put a few courses in a take-away box for him, so she could bring him some food upstairs. They very kindly agreed to do so. So perhaps some of the higher-end restaurants might be more accommodating with providing food to go, like V&A's was?
Cheers!

It was my understanding that if you're in the restaurant eating and need top leave or whatever and have your stuff boxed to go that's OK, but you can't just call or stop in and order dinner to go becasue they are not staffed enough to cover table and to go diners. Hoever, that's just what I have read here on the DIS. I have no personal experience (I have gotten my dessert to go after dinner, just not a whole meal),

We found out the hard way that TS's DO NOT do take-out. We were sick and stuck in the room. I called a TS for take-out soup, but they said that they do not do any take-outs. We were lucky and the CM gave us a couple of bowls to go, but he told me that normally they couldn't do it.

I know in May '05 Mama Melrose was refusing accept a to go order for a couple and that last Sept my D-I-L and I tried to get a piece of grapefruit cake to go from the Brown Derby and were refused. Now granted both restaraunts were busy and refusing to accept walk ups at the time.

However last Sept we had a very long wait for our ADR at Le Cellier so got in about an hour later than we expected. Consequently Illuminations were about to start when it was time to order our dessert. My son and D-I-L went on outside to watch the fireworks while my ex and I stayed to eat dessert and ordered theirs to go, without a problem.
