getting started with pins

am just starting to look into the pin trading...wondering how much are the pins roughly? also never being to disney before not sure how this works. ive read to buy on ebay and then you take those and trade them? what is the reasoning? just to trade to save money? find old pins?

should we just go and start our own collection or buy some on ebay to trade? if this would save money then im all for that

Please read our good bad ebayers thread for tips on buying on ebay. The big problem with ebay is many sellers are selling scrappers, which are pins that did not pass Disney's QC and should have been thrown away, they were instead sold on the secondary market and are referred to as scrappers.
