Getting Rid Of Chef Mickey's...Substitute?

So with all of the construction (once more I bow down to disboards because I would not have known the construction affected CM), I've decided that we should get a new breakfast ADR. For the rest of the week we have Boma, Crystal Palace, Kona, CRT, and Boatwrights. I think we might consider 1900 Park Fare, but we're open to other suggestions.

Oh and if it helps, we're staying at the Poly and O'hana does not appeal to us. For the day that we're changing, we'll be in Epcot.

Does it have to be a sit-down?

On our Epcot day we like to skip a sit-down, go for rope-drop, run over to the Land, get Soarin' fast passes and then go eat at Sunshine seasons while we wait for our return time. they have awesome breakfast there. Big selection. Better than most sit-downs and then you can save the table service for later since Epcot has such amazing choices for lunch and dinner.
That would be my decision.

How about Cape May? After breakfast, you are right at the entrance to the International Gateway. Take a taxi for convenience. There is Minnie, goofy and chip and dale, all wearing their swimming attire

If you're planning on doing the MK after the now dumped Chef Mickey, how about an early seating at Crystal Palace? You won't be sorry!! The characters here are Poo and the 100 Acre Wood crowd, and the view of the castle is outstanding. PLUS as a bonus for an early ADR you get to be in the park waaaaaaaay ahead of the crowds so you can click away getting those shots of the castle and main street without the thundering herds. A win-win situation.

Just called and 1900 was not avaliable and Cape May's menu isn't speaking to me. So I took a chance and we're going to try The Wave for breakfast. I hope the construction isn't affecting that either.

This would be exactly our touring style.

Well we'd send DH to go get FP's, Grandma and Grandpa take our son on Test Track, we walk back to The Land and wait for FP times at Sunshine Seasons.

Chef Mickey's itself is not under construction, but the area surrounding it (the former Concourse Steakhouse) is.

There've been reports on the board that the noise and dust from the construction is affecting some guests' experience at Chef Mickey's, since the restaurant is not enclosed.

The construction is on the 4th floor. The Wave is on the first, and is enclosed. There should be no effect there.

We were just at CM a couple weeks back - the jack hammer was going but we were seated way back in an alcove and heard nothing - in fact, the entire back side of the place was quiet & we only heard the construction noise when walking around to the desert area. If you still want to go you can ask for one of the quiet areas. There was no dust in the air when we were there (& I'm very sensitive to anything in the air, dust or smells)

We had breakfast at Akerhus The Princess Storybook Breakfast and it was great! I loved the potatos! That was only breakfast we did on that trip but my whole family really enjoyed it.
