Getting over fear of Tower of Terror

I had fear issues with some rides as well. Just say do it once, I don't have to do it again.

The big drop on Splash Mountain scares me. I push through some times it works sometimes it doesn't. Just breathe and remember if you scream no one will judge you.

I use to be afraid of the drop rides and then I went on Doctor Doom's Fear Fall with my daughter because no one else would. For me, with that ride and the Tower of Terror, the worst parts are the anticipation of the drop. Doctor Doom was actually quite pleasant (after the rapid rise to the top ;) ) and felt more like floating down than falling. Tower of Terror gives me that "tickle" feeling, like when you go over a hill to quick. It makes me want to laugh.

I would say closing your eyes and holding onto the handles, once you reach the doors, are probably the best way to deal with the fear.

TOT is just a terrific experience. The lobby of the hotel is incredible, even the queue is delightful. The drop is more "funny" than terrifying. There are certainly more people giggling at the end of the drops than are frightened. It's really an exhilarating feeling :earsboy:
