How long does it take to get on & off the boat in St. Maarten?

Does this plan sound feasible?

Could we get off the boat in the a.m.? Hire a cab to the Butterfly Farm. Visit it w/ the kids. Get back on the boat to check the kids in to the Oceaneer's Club. Get back off the boat for the Golden Eagle excursion.

Does anyone know what times the Golden Eagle Catamaran excursions leave?

Thanks!

We just got off the E. 5-1-04 cruise. We were docked in St. Maarten so getting off took hardly any time at all..maybe 5 minutes to get through the ship, down to deck 1 and have our KTTW card scanned. We walked off of the ship and at the end of the pier is a taxi stand where they will help you get a taxi to the correct place. We've never done either of what you were talking about but for our week the Golden Eagle Catamaran had one that left at 7:45 am and another that left at 1:00 pm. I have no idea how far the Butterfly farm is but I do know we took a cab to Orient Beach and played in the water for about 2 2/12 hours and we were back on the ship by 12:30 so I would assume (*especially if you are doing the butterfly farm on your own) that you would be able to cut it short and get back for the late Golden Eagle Catamaran that leaves at 1 pm. Others may know better but I did see those 2 excursion times in our St. Maarten Naviagtor.
