Is it possible to go and see the legacy tiles without admission to EPCOT? We took our sonwhen he was 3 months old and want to do another when we go back in Dec but we don't have plans for EPCOT this time. I'm pretty sure the granite slabs are actually past the turnstiles but can anyone let me know for sure? Thanks so much! :earsboy: pooh: ::MickeyMo

You need to enter the park to see them. If you have a park hopper ticket, then you can go into the park after being in another.

They used to, and i'm not sure if they still do, offer a one hour shopping pass. I think you leave your license with them. If you just wanted to do the Legacy thing, I'd try that route.

Oooh that is a good idea- anyone have experience doing that? We are just doing MVMCP the day after we get back from the 4 night cruise so we won't have a hopper or anything.

Anyone able to confirm the shopping pass thing?

You can explain your situation to the cast member at Epcot Guest Relations, but they're no longer widely known, so you may not end up being able to do it.

Before merchandise was homogenized throughout the resort, you used to be able to go to the gate and explain that you wanted some piece of merchandise. You left a credit card imprint with them, and had one hour to purchase whatever it was you needed. If you didn't make it back within the hour, you were charged for a one day ticket.

BUT - because the same merchandise within the Magic Kingdom can pretty much be purchased at World of Disney, they don't really need this sort of pass anymore.

It's worth a shot, but don't count on it.

I've also read reports that they no longer offer the shopping pass. While I don't remember reading anything specific, I cannot help but guess that the pass is no longer offered because some people were abusing the service to get free entry to the parks to take in an attraction. Such a shame for those who were using the shopping pass for what it it was intended. :(
