Hey -

So I'm going to grad school down in Orlando. I did a CP previously and I'm hoping to do a PI in the fall. After my hypothetical PI ends, how likely is it to be hired to be just Seasonal in an area through Casting? I know there were a few people I worked with who were seasonally employed - not ex-CPs or anything, just people from the area. Anyone know how often this happens? Is it a pretty normal thing or no? I want to be with the compaany and be able to pick up shifts while I'm in school and I'm trying to figure out how likely it is.

Last December, I was told by Casting that if I wanted to change my role to something else that I would be put on a waiting list and could be on the list for anywhere from two weeks to one year. But if I wanted to stay where I was, that I would have to talk to my managers about going seasonal.

yeah managers handle going seasonal in your current work location. If you want to move elsewhere, you have to go through casting, so you have to go by what they have available.

Just make sure you do not have points on your record or at least very few. It is very common to go seasonal as long as you were good when you were on your program.

Best of Luck to you

Coming off a PI is more difficult. My PI does not have a seasonal option, but a friend of mine was able to get seasonal status with her PI. Are you still proficient in your former CP location? That would be the easiest!

Most seasonal people I know either came off the CP, FT, or CR. Some of the CMs at the League started FT for the summer (knowing they were going back to school in the fall) and when school time came, two of them switched to seasonal. Much easier that way then waiting on a "seasonal list."
