Getting hair colored while on the ship?

Due to unforeseen events, I can't get to my hair stylist this week and we leave on Saturday. It looks like the Vista Spa & Salon offers what I need and the price is actually reasonable ($85 for highlights).

Has anyone used the hair coloring services on any of the ships? If so, what was your opinion? Also, when they say "highlights", do they mean 5 pieces of foil to give someone a quick make-over? Or do they mean actual full-head highlights? I don't want to get there and find out it will really cost $200 to get what I normally get. ;)

Personally, I would be real nervous about going to someone who has no knowledge about how my hair reacts to processing. I like to have a little time with a hairdresser before we start doing more than just regular stuff (like wash/style, maybe a haircut or two).

Hi! I can't speak as a CL stylist, but I can speak as a hair stylist. The menu lists the price as "from $85" which to me means that the price could rise (all of the prices at my salon are "starting at" prices). I don't know what would raise the price, but since I see no option for a partial highlight or accent foils I would guess that the price would rise depending on the amount of foils and possibly if it requires a toner. If that price is for fewer foils there are a few options you could try that would keep the cost down, but still get you a good touch up! I don't know how your hair is, color wise, but if you gave me a description I could possibly give you some options if you would like, but I'm also sure if you gave the salon you go to a call and talked to your regular stylist they could give you some options to give the DCL stylists! :goodvibes I have a former client who moved to North Carolina who regularly calls me to give instructions to her new stylist! :rotfl:
