Getting from parks to Y&B Club pier

Are the resort buses the best and fastest way to get from the parks to the Yacht and Beach Club pier? We will be going from one of the parks (not sure which one as DH doesn't like to plan ahead) to catch an Illuminations cruise. Thanks.

I would say yes. If you are at Epcot that day, and that would be my choice, then you can just walk to Y/Bc. It only takes about 8 minutes. This is what we did when we had a cruise booked. But if you opt for another park, just grab the bus to Y/Bc there.

If you are at MGM you can also take the boats to the YC/BC pier (or about a 15 min walk).
