Southwest finally came out with an airfare that won't break the bank for our June trip, so we are going to arrive 1 day early for our AKL reservation and are going to stay at OKW for one night. Right now, trying to decide where to eat dinner that night and Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club is high on the list for the kiddos and DH. What would be the best way to get to Beach Club from OKW?

Thanks.

I would catch a DHS bus and then take a Friendship boat to YC/BC. Or you could walk from DHS if you're in the mood...about 20-25 min.

Another easy way is to take the boat or bus from OKW to DTD, then hop on the BC bus from DTD.

Those are the two best ways to do it via Disney transportation. I'm assuming you won't have a car, but another option (albeit out of pocket) is to take a cab.

Another vote for a cab - way quicker and arrived way less stressed from travel. I always budget some cab $$ and figure it is way less than renting a car and way easier than driving.

Thanks for the replies. We had thought about taking the boat to DTD and catching a bus. We talked about taking the bus to Epcot and walking through and going thru International Gateway, but, I would hate to use a day's worth of passes to do that if we aren't doing any parks that day. Me and 1 DS have APs and other DS and DH will be having park hoppers thru YES program.

How much would a cab cost? Never have taken one when at WDW. Usually use the busses. The next day, our daughter will arrive with her car, so will be going for some groceries after checking in at AKV.

... and I was thinking why not just take the bus to DTD and be done with it? There's plenty of fine places to eat at DTD without going to the extra step of getting over to Y & BC. To each their own, obviously, but just taking the bus to DTD, having dinner and strolling around there seems much more relaxing after a day of travel than trying to do the extra leg OR take a taxi.

A cab would be $10-$12.

A taxi would cost about $11 plus tip and save you a whole lot of time.
Taxi should take no more than 10 minutes. Buses, boats, etc allow 60 to 90 minutes
