getting from Boma back to GF after dinner

After our AK day, we plan to have dinner at Boma. How do we make it back to the Grand Floridian once we're done eating? We're going late this month so AK closes at 5 pm.

Take the bus to dowtown disney and then take the bus from there back to the grand floridian. In the alternative, you can take a bus to any of the parks that are open and then switch from there. Having stayed at AKL this past trip, I can tell you that it took us awhile to get from there to downtown disney (partially b/c of bus waits.....partially b/c of the way the roads are laid out). If it were me, I'd hop on whichever bus came first to a location I knew was open (dowtown or a park) and then switch as appropriate (monorail, boat, bus).

Thanks for the quick reply. Maybe we should just go to Boma for lunch midday, stay at AK til close and take the GF bus directly back. We will have another afternoon at AK so I'm not so worried about missing attractions. Advice? Now I"m thinking maybe we'll enjoy a cool sit-down break in the middle of the heat. And that way my parents and son won't be too pooped by the end of the day to really enjoy AKL.

Boma doesn't do lunch, only breakfast and dinner.

Getting back to the GF is pretty easy - take the bus to MK, then take the monorail to the hotel.

Or, you can take a cab from AKL to GF. Probably about $10-15, and well worth it. You'll be at the GF in a few minutes.

I wouldn't recommend using DTD as a transfer point. The buses tend to run less frequently to and from DTD than the theme parks, and it can take quite a long time.

If you don't want to take a cab, the next quickest way is probably to catch a MK bus at AKL, and then get the boat or monorail to GF.
