Getting flight confirmation number question

Ok, I suddenly realize when people on the DIS recommend booking you flight separate from your Disney package. I should have listened. We are trying to book seats with Air Tran for our trip, but Disney agents keep giving us the wrong confirmation numbers. I called Air Tran and they said without the address and phone number used for the reservation(apparently they don't use your information they use their own) air tran can not give us any information. Has anyone run into this or have any advice on what to do? Slightly frazzled, but glad I am encountering this problem now instead of right before we tried to checkin!

Disney should have received Air Tran's confirmation # for you when they made the reservation. I would call Disney and ask for the airline confirmation # not Disney's. They should have no problem giving you this and it will also let you check in online at the 24 hour mark.
I always book our airline just because of schedule changes and dealing directly with the airline instead of third party.

Ugh - I went through this a few months back, but on the first call I had a nice agent at Air Tran who gave me my correct number. Later I decided to reserve the seats, and when I went in, because the number didn't match the credit card used (Disney's), I could not book the seats online.

I called Air Tran again and this time got a very snippy agent who told me that I couldn't book my seats online (even if I paid), I couldn't even do them at 24 hours - no, I had to wait until I was at the airport and see what they had left. She also told me quite rudely that the agent who gave me my correct reservation code had been wrong and shouldn't have given it to me.

I called Disney and spoke with someone in reservations who told me sadly she couldn't help me but that she would connect me to the nicest person in the world in Transportation who could. A few minutes later, she took care of it for me - I got better seats than I'd been able to on the AirTran site, and they didn't even charge me for them.

Based on my experience - skip Air Tran and definitely call Disney!

Well, I found out the fourth time is the charm! Everyone I talked to at Disney were super wonderful. It was just frustrating. The funny part, we are now talking about seeing about changing the reservation to arriving one day earlier I just can't decide.

Thankfully, I have never had a problem calling Airtran and getting the confirmation number. I even called them the same day I made the reservation with Disney. I just figured they are more than happy to give me the number since I will be paying extra to reserve seats. They really have nothing to gain by not letting you have it. Hopefully it works out for anyone calling though!
