Getting engaged in the House of Mouse!

My fiance is so freaking awesome. He has never been to Disney, but he knows I'm obsessed, so he planned a "birthday/Christmas" trip for me (my bday is Dec. 11th) to Mickey's house. :thumbsup2 Little did I know that he had other plans!

On our second day we went to MVMCP and he was OBSESSED with getting the castle. I figured it was just because he had never seen it before. When we got there he grabbed me and told me not to move. I was directly between the castle and the Golden Carousel. He ran to give the video camera to the CM who was ringing the Christmas bells under the castle (I'm still clueless at this point). He came running back and it all clicked and I started to bawl. :) And eventually nod yes because I was speechless.

It couldn't have been any more perfect if I had planned it myself. :cloud9: So now after 2.5 years we're getting married in 29 days and going back to the World to celebrate in December!!! :cheer2:

That is so sweet! I wish my DBF would propose to me at Cindy's Castle!

My DH2B proposed at Port Orleans - Riverside during our November trip!!!
He had never been to WDW and I told him that I wouldn't consider marrying anyone unless I knew that they enjoyed Disney World at least 1/2 as much as I do (this was only half joking.) So I planned a trip for the week before Thanksgiving. We arrived on Wednesday night (11/16) and took the ME to Port Orleans. We sat down for dinner and Scott had to use the washroom (at least that's what I thought.) After dinner we walked out of the building and while I thought we were going back to our room... Scott stopped at the horse drawn carriage and said he wanted to take me for a ride. Half way through the ride, the carriage stopped and the driver handed Scott a replica of Cinderella's glass slipper ontop of a bed of carnations (go to disneyflorist.com to see a picture). Inside the glass slipper is a ring and he proposed right there infront of a water fountain, in a horse drawn carriage.
The fact that he put so much planning into something when he didn't know what to expect... It was very special!!! The rest of the trip was just as magical as could be!!!

I got a Disneyland proposal!!

In January of last year, my DH (BF at the time) wanted us to go to DL one weekend. We get there and take a stroll around the park (which we never do - we usually bolt from one ride to the next, but I didn't have a clue that he was scouting out a spot to pop the question). He stops us next to the castle. I'm looking up at the castle (still completely clueless), when he says, "There's another reason I wanted to bring you here." I look over at him, and he's down one one knee with the ring out! Then he said, "Will you marry me?" (Wow - it still gives me shivers today!) I was in such shock that I just stood there and started to bawl. We had been together for over 7 years, so I was NOT expecting this! Then my poor DH, who is still down on his knee, says, "So is that a yes, or...?" Finally I came to my senses and said yes!

We got married last June, and spent our honeymoon at WDW!!

Last September, ee got to CRT at 7h45 for our 8h ADR, and we weren't seated until 8h45!!! Usually, my bf is not patient for that kind of stuff, specially since people that got there before us were going in, and he seemed kind of giddy, but I didn't think too much of it  ...

We got seated at a window table just as Wishes started, so we were able to enjoy the fireworks, which were amazing. We finished our meal, our waiter picks up the plates, and goes away without asking us if we wanted dessert! I thought it was kind of rude, and said so to my bf, but he didn't comment.

Two minutes later, this photopass photographer and our waiter come to our table... My bf gets down on one knee, and the waiter puts a plate in front of me with rose petals, an encraved glass slipper which has a rose button inside with a diamond ring! It was just gorgeous!!! :cloud9:

I was kind of speechless, so I just nodded yes...

A co-worker did it at Victoria & Albert's a few years back.

He surprised his GF with a trip to her favorite place in the world, at the swankiest place in the world (the Grand Floridian, of course) and that night, took her to dinner at V&A's.

He arranged in advance to have them bring out the ring for desert! :thumbsup2

It went off flawlessly -- evidently V&As gets requests for that sort of thing all the time! -- and they lived happily ever after
